Eliminator 7
Visioned vs Dantu vs Monolith vs Leprosy Infection (4)
Representing Team Wet €˜n€™ Wild, Visioned!
This invertible box shape with scoop on the front employs LEM-130 lynch motors in the drive to give 8HP continuously and 18HP when at optimum power, and as if that wasn€™t enough it has two Crushtacean style claws at the front of the robot, powered by Litton motors. The six wheel drive will help to push it around the arena and the 9mm titanium armour should protect from most attacks, but like Team Wet €˜n€™ Wild€™s previous season entry Do or Die it can be stacked.
Representing Team Doomforall, Dantu!
This axlebot has a big meaty disc powered by the same motor that powers Visioned€™s drive, but there€™s only one of them here. The disc is vertical to flip and rip and the robot is invertible, plus the hardox armour is very thick and flipping this machine will do almost nothing at all unless you can get it over the fence. It won€™t do too well against rammers though.
Representing Team ???, Monolith!
This the second Storm II-shaped machine entered by Andrew Jackson, but unlike Wedga Triton it doesn€™t have a high power flipper on its side, but what it does have is 10mm hardox monocoque armour and the ability to run inverted with the four wheel drive, powered by 2 magmotors to give more pushing power than Tornado! However, with no active weaponry what can it do to the other robots?
Representing Team Dino Warriors, seeded #4, Leprosy Infection!
This box shaped machine can run inverted, just like all the other robots in this battle. It has a lynch motor to spin the drum upwards and flake away at other robots€™ armour and magmotors in the drive to turn the four wheels, plus it is painted a vile shade of green that could potentially make the other drivers sick!

Monolith has had its skirts removed for this bout seen as there are two spinners. At the beginning of the match Andy€™s bot is also the first to go on the attack, driving at Dantu, who has spun up the disc. The two meet head on, but Monolith completely dodges the flywheel weapon and gets right underneath Dantu, now gunning the magmotors in the drive and pushing it back across the arena and into the spike strip! Dantu drives over the top of Monolith though and turns, catching the rear of Monolith with the disc and flipping it up into the air, but not over. Still though the 10mm hardox absorbs the blow with no problem and Andy pushes under Dantu with his front wedge again, but this time Alex just drives right over the 10cm high Monolith, turning to again catch the rear of Andy€™s machine with the spinning disc, this time flicking it high enough into the air to allow itself to run in underneath and turn to flip Monolith onto its back! Although Andy€™s robot runs inverted the wedge is useless upside down and now the little black robot has a high ground clearance all round!
Meanwhile Visioned has stormed right at Leprosy Infection and grabbed hold of the drum with the vertical claws, and with six wheels to the seeded machine€™s four No Wai has now pushed Chris into the pit release button and without even letting go once turned and taken Leprosy Infection to the chasm, running up to it and dropping it into the abyss in pure Crushtacean-style of grab then pit and in the first ten seconds of this round the seeded machine is down and out along with Team Dino Warriors!
And with Monolith inverted Visioned sees it€™s chance, driving straight at the inverted wedge while Andy is bothered with Dantu, getting the claws straight in and grabbing hold tightly before reversing across the arena with Monolith in tow, turning and ramming Andy€™s undamageable machine into the pit, as the shortest fight of Mechanical Maelstrom 2.0 yet draws to a premature close!
CEASE!
Leprosy Infection (4) is infected and Monolith is beaten (but not broken of course);
Visioned owns the fight to move onto the next round with Dantu tagging along!
Eliminator 8
Hypertension MK3 vs Eternia vs Drilla Killa VII vs Nitro-Gene 5.0
Representing Team Devil€™s Incarnate, Hypertension MK.3!
With thick hardox armour and a powerful flipper this wedge shaped machine is here to win. It most likely won€™t be damaged, and the strategy is to only flip when needed to conserve the comparatively small amount of gas on board. However, the strategy could turn out rotten if this machine is forced to flip too much.
Representing Team RCC, Eternia!
Like it€™s teammate Holepunch 2.0, this robot has thick HDPE armour over the main body, meaning holes can be made and chunks can be torn out but hardly ever will the internals be reached by an opponent. This impressive looking robot has a Gravity-style flipper, but the pushing power is weak compared to other vapours.
Representing Team Killa Vapourbots, Drilla Killa VII!
This robot is perfectly shaped for ramming, with a wedge at the front and an inverted wedge at the back so that runs identically the other side up, albeit with the drive reversed of course. Each wedge has three holes in it, out of which come industrial drills, but the question is how much damage will the drills do?
Representing Team Insanity, Nitro-Gene 5.0!
This box wedge shape robot has a high power nitrogen flipper, as well as two magmotors in the drive to give it plenty of power. The hardox armour will protect against most attacks and the front is flat to bash spinners, and even though it can self-right the robot has the ability to run inverted. This however leaves the tyres open to attack from axes.

As this final round 1 eliminator of Mechanical Maelstrom Season 2.0 gets going Nitro-Gene 5.0 goes on the attack of Eternia, but Leo turns and due to the shape of his machine gets under the front of Nitro-Gene 5.0, firing the flipper to send Paul€™s robot over onto its back! The flipper of Nitro-Gene is fired and the robot stylishly somersaults in the air to land on its wheels and drive at Eternia again as Leo was turning away, getting the flipper underneath and firing the weaponry again to send Eternia high into the air with the 1600kg of force, and as it comes crashing down to earth Eternia lands close to the pit release button, and when it self-rights it just avoids it, so narrowly the pit is still closed!
While Nitro-Gene was battling Eternia Drilla Killa assaults Hypertension, ramming under the side of the wedge shaped robot and lifting it up with the drills, powering into the spike strip with the PERM motors going at their top capacity! Hypertension is thrown away by the force of the ram, but lands behind Drilla Killa VII and seeing his chance Will drives in underneath the inverted wedge at the back of Richard€™s machine and comfortably pushed right in underneath, as even though the drills from the inverted wedge push against the top armour of Hypertension they fail to do any damage at all and Will gets right in underneath before finally firing the flipper and throwing Richard€™s second entry high into the air, and as it was so close to the fence Drilla Killa VII comes crashing down onto the camera tracks.
On the other side of the arena Nitro-Gene and Eternia€™s front ground clearances have cancelled each other out, and Nitro-Gene gains the advantage as it pushes Leo back across the arena, but Hypertension MK3 interrupts as Will sees the perfect chance to gain the second elimination of this battle as he drives underneath the side skirt of Nitro-Gene 5.0 and pushes Paul across to the arena side wall, firing that wedge flipper for the second time in this bout and for the second time it is a fatal flip!
CEASE!
Drilla Killa VII is killed and Nitro-Gene 5.0 blows up;
Hypertension MK3 and Eternia move onto the second round!
