interesting, although this is a bit off :
These retail at over £470
make that 305 gbp.
According to Roboteq their sole European distributor is Active Robots and they list the price as £471.29 see http://www.active-robots.com/products/m ... oteq.shtml so how is that a bit off?
Ohw, I went to their own site and just looked up the price for that version, and once converted that came down to 303 gbp. And they do ship to europe, for a very reasonable price
I wasn't knocking the price of the unit you have for sale, on the contrary, it's VERY reasonable (cheap even!) and I'm following the ebay auction !
Now I'm confused, what exchange rate are you using because there shouldn't be that much difference.
roboteq.com states 495 us dollar
according to XE.com that's 302 gbp (midmarket rates)
Live rates at 2009.07.22 10:17:54 UTC
495.00 USD = 302.034 GBP
United States Dollars United Kingdom Pounds
1 USD = 0.610169 GBP 1 GBP = 1.63889 USD
I didn't realise you were comparing the US pricing, you also need to add carriage, import duty and VAT. Also, us importers have been suffering exchange rates as low as 1.39$/£ recently so it depends on when stocks were purchased. To import for the US I would guess at $90 shipping, based on PayPal giving 1.605 $/£ yesterday gives £364.48 x 1.05 duty x 1.15 VAT gives £440.11. So less than Active agreed.
