Thread: Motor and speedo relationships.

Ok, I can hear you say what an idiot. This guy hasnt got a chance of programming the VCR, let alone build a robot. Okay. I dont know about these things. Sorry.

I do actually know more than I let on in that opening. I know that a speedo controls the motors, and you wire up the battery to the motor via the speedo. What I dont understand is if I need a separate speedo for my electric actuator (which has a built in 24v battery pack, but Im adding in a 12v overlander battery pack to speed it up a bit by a quater and because the motor for the actuator wont be on all the time I shouldnt burn it out). So will I need an extra speedo for that battery pack?

    Yours anonymously,

Someone who is to embarresed to write his name on the post.

If the controller in the actuator is only designed for 24v, Id replace the actuator controls with something thatll handle the full 36v.
