Thread: Maelstrom

  1. #1
We have finally finished rebuilding and testing our new heavyweight- Maelstrom.

It is basically an upgraded version of St Agro with all new electrics.

I have uploaded a video of us testing it here:

Thought we would not see St. Agro again, looks awesome and should work well for you on the sidewinder.

Thanks for the great comments guys!!

Tom and Leo are right, when we bought it, St Agro was still running on 4QDs and the batteries that came with it were pretty much knackered so we bought a couple of new hawkers.

Since we had a new speedo we had to completely strip the electrics and start again.

Other than that it is the same as the machine which took part in series 7, the only other things that we have done is make a new top cover to replace the damaged one and relocate the dump valve to make it a little more practical.

It drives really well and the flipper seems to have enough power.

I cant wait to get it in the arena at portsmouth!

expect an e-mail from author chiltcock (sp?) - the big guy from team mortis..

Turbulence was originaly going to be called maelstrom aswell.. but he kicked up a fuss about it saying how the new mortis maelstrom has been in construction for years etc.. but that was before turbulence mk1 was finished.. a few years ago now..

    looks good though will.
