Dont really its a bad idea. but thats just showing u can lift a car on 12v with the correct gearing and stuff. but with gearing the motor down the heavier you want to lift the slower it will lift
Bit heavy with 2.2kg Ben.
On 24V it does only a bit more torque than the 3 times lighter Speed 900.
A Speed 900 with a suitable gearing is better in any respect.
ok a speed 900, but what gearing should I use?
ben why dont you just get your wallet out and ask mario to make you a feather drive. he will do a good quality job and you will have yourself a drive ready to bolt into your featherweight chassis, whatever that might be.
if not why dont you work out yourself what size wheels you will be using and work out the gear ratio yourself.
its all good and proper asking all these questions to these roboteers who are more than willing to help but posting off the cuff remarks like ok a speed 900, but what gearing should i use after all the help and pointers you have been given directs me to believe you dont intend to build a robot at all.
all that said at least some good pointers are being posted. but then its nothing that hasent been posted before on this forum you just have to look.
A reduction of 66 to 1 is what I have calculated.
So, to make it easy and mechanicaly acceptible, a 2 stage gearing each stage 8 to 1, what gives us 64 to 1 gearratio.
Mario, could you make the gearbox-motor assemblies?
How much would they cost?
PM of mail me with that kind of questions.
