Were looking for a new co2 bottle because the one weve got is a bit old. The onwe weve got at the moment is 40cm long by 20cm diameter. Ill try and find out the weight too if that will help.

I think James means heavyweight size. Just find somewhere that services fire safety equipment and ask for an old one. It will probably be newer than yours which was about 7 years old if i remember correctly. Otherwise ebay, or I think Jonno can get them, probably best leave it a few weeks I think hes quite busy atm.

we do have a new(er) fire extinguisher. coukd we just unscrew the top off the old one snd put in to the newer one?

7 years aint old for a CO2 bottle. 25 years is.
But it has to have had its periodical check up and certifying.

Is it physically possible ...yes if the threads are the same you can certainly swap valves over.
