Thread: Eye Of The Robot - Annihilator 2

  1. #1
    I know Im doing E.O.T.R.5, but Im struggling to get back into the stride of writing, so Im doing this a warm-up to get back into the way of writing fights.
    Here goes...

    +1>EYE +1>OF +1>THE +1>ROBOT - ANNIHILATOR 2

    The E.O.T.R tournament is having a bit of a rest, but due to the recent hypothetical I€™ve been doing, I€™m doing a minor competition to keep me on task and keep me busy.

    Annihilators are RW events that have gone on for YEARS! Everyone is capable of producing an Annihilator, so I€™m going to have another go at producing an Annihilator. Lat time around, Cyrillium Mach 2, Requiem, Spiny, Leprosy Infection and No Objections lost out to master of RW Musical Chairs, Brutalis 2.0! Maybe Liam Eliot will keep the crown, or others will take it away, with the new set-out.

    Now for the arena:

    The Arena

    The €˜WreckTaGon€™ is a hexagon shaped arena with three starting squares, coloured gold, green and blue. Originally, it had very little in the way of hazards, and still does, but these are very deadly - we still have the flipping spikes, and we also have the impaling spikes, set in sets of 5 in each corner of the arena, each made of Hardox and designed to cause serious damage. The pit release button for this arena is located on the bottom right side of the arena, with the actual pit being a mere 1meter away from it. The arena is indestructible, with the floor being made of 50mm Hardox, with 3mm of polished Stainless Steel over the top of that, making the floor impossible to damage and VERY SLIPPERY! The walls are also made of 50mm Hardox, and are 45cm high, giving everyone the ability to flip someone OOTA! The arena (from a birds-eye view) is 5metres down and 7metres wide.

    The Entry-Rules

    € I need 9 people to enter 2 robots (They MUST be vapourbots, unless you€™re a real Roboteer, then you can enter two of your realies)
    € Wheeled robots must weigh a maximum 100kg
    € Shuffling robots weigh a maximum of 110kg
    € Walkers weigh a maximum 135kg
    € When you enter, give me your hometown (if outside of the UK, tell me the country as well), and a link for your robot stats, so I can find them!

    The Judging System

    Basically, Ive invented my own system - has 6 catogories, in which I mark out of 10. I then times that score in each section by how much the section is worth:

    Dominance = ? x 6
    Damage = ? x 5
    Aggression = ? x 4
    Stategy = ? x 3
    Control = ? x 2
    Style = ? x 1

    please make up your mind on what to do with your writing carreer Paul, you have started 7 different tournaments here by now, 9 if youd also count the ones we couldnt enter and 11 if youd also count the ones you had to re-open, only 1 of them was ever finished properly, this is getting plain silly now

    The arena (from a birds-eye view) is 5metres down and 7metres wide

    The Robochallenge FEATHERWEIGHT arena is 4 metres by 5 metres. A heavy arena measuring 5m x 7m isnt going to allow for much manoeuverability, thereby severly hampering the battle quality, especially for an annihilator. You couldnt even swing a dead Pussycat in that

    To give a bit of perspective, Jonnos RR arena is 12m x 10m in its largest configuration, and the Robots Live arena is a similar size but just a bit smaller I believe

    I echo Chris here Paul, I know it sounds strange, but it seems like you enjoy opening a tournament and getting entries, but no writing and finishing the tournament?

    Ill put together a new Vapourbot Paul and enter it with one of my realies if you can promise to finish this one and do it properly

    Your Really enthusiastic Paul, I think your a little to ambitious, this tournie is too complex make a straight knockout for 16 robots will give u less work, Do it over weeks, like a tv show that way youll have more time to write the write ups and plan it better

    have a think and if you can make totally sure u finish this tournie then ill back you
