they come to a line much like Terrorhurtz. they do less damage but still make a nice clamper
Ive aslo considered yet another possibility, will CAD that and post it too

Just an idea:
Name: Robo-Beetle
Shape: A 3-D Semi-Circle
Colour: Shiny Black
Speed: 12 MPH
Weight: 110KG
Armour: 4MM Titanium
Drive: 2 C40-300 Magmotors @ 36V geared for torque
Power: 6 NiCad Battlepacks @ 36V
Locomotion: A pair of small titanium tracks with an Asmaprene/Vulkalon/Urethane coating and imbedded screws
Ground Clearance: 2MM
Turning Circle: 0
Size: 90X90X30
Weaponry: 2 pairs of beetle-like crushing claws, one at the top one at the bottom, they only generate 3 tons at the tip but they can each turn 180 degrees and rip robots in two
Srimech: Invertible, but can use the arms
Strengths: Poweful weapons, Good Pusher
Weaknesses: Slow, Thin Armour
Things wrong with it:
1. You dont need the screws, thats what will kill the grip given by the rubber coating.
2. Why do you need 2 pairs? One pair would certainly be sufficient.
Otherwise, good.
I am guessing, correct me if I am wrong Ben, that he wants to clamp down with the top and bottom claws, and then have 1 pair moving in one direction and the second pair in the opposite direction in an attempt to rip the robot apart.
Its a nice idea, but it wont work that way. you would have to generate so much force to achieve that goal that your claws would bend and snap sooner than the opponents armour would buckle under the strain.
Also the 2 mm GC is too low. The coating only has to be worn away by 2 mm to completely ground your machine, plus when youre too low any shrapnel in the arena makes things difficult for you. I consider a 5 mm GC to be the absolute lowest you should go without skirts. Spinners need more because they generate a lot of shrapnel, or at least they should if theyre designed well
Also do you intend for the 2 pairs of claws move away from each other in horizontal or vertical motion? AKA one pair moves to the left and another koves to the right OR one pair moves up and the other... down?
Im guessing the latter since you say the claws help selfrighting, I fail to see how your bot is invertible then though, I guess with 3d semi-circle you mean a sphere cut in halve?
I think something like this.
http://www.insaneclown.nl/images/robobeetle.jpghttp://www.insaneclown.nl/images/robobeetle.jpg
in that picture the claws wouldnt be able to turn 180 degrees like the stats say leo
Once they are closed he could.
The other option would be
http://www.insaneclown.nl/images/robobeetle2.jpghttp://www.insaneclown.nl/images/robobeetle2.jpg
But then you would lose a lot of space inside and it would not be invertable.
I think the first option is right and remain wondering why it can use the claws as a srimech.
Actually Ben Ive been playing around with ideas like this but the thruth is youd tear your weapon apart rather than your opponent, I most likely. Ive never been able to find a way around this.
Random note; Im busy on Robo-Hedgehog but still dont really understand the curved teeth. Are they like Mutes and placed on top of the robot? If so then your robot would not be invertible (without the axe) like you stated.
