When you register, I shall open your section up so you can post there.
Whats your team name? (thatll be the section title)
my team name is Team Animatronic Animals
Mkay.
For reference, could you please post your fixed stats here first?
I will do it later and I am logging off for now, BYE!
Kody:
Hardox = 7.8kg/dm3
Ti=4,5kg/dm3
so if 4mm hardox on a robot is 60kg, 7mm Ti is 61kg.
So your not saving weight, it gets heavier.
That is not a bad attempt at all Ben. If you follow Kodys advice you should have a pretty solid vapourbot there. However, you shouldnt listen to Kody regarding the wheels.The number of wheels you have, as far as I am aware, does not effect the speed or torque of your robot. Gearing effects that. I also dont agree with this more wheels = less manouverability idea. We have all seen Chaos 2 (2WD), Tornado (4WD) and Storm II (6WD) turn directly on the spot - so where did this idea stem from? The only benefit I can see of having less wheels is that it reduces the weight. Im probably wrong, but thats what I think anyway.
so what armour do you suggest Leo
and i think i will change back to 6 wheel drive
4WD and 6WD machines have more friction while turning on the spot and less direct drive, if that makes any sense, 2WD machines turn more efficiently, pretty much enhancing their manouverability
which is exactly why you only see 2WD twackbots, 2WD makes spinning on the spot alot more smoothly
i dont want to spin on the spot i just want a 0 turning circle
Oops! i almost forgot the GC is 1mm on the body and 0mm at the front of the flipper
