ONE PLACE LEFT!!
Name: Disco 5
Shape: Low Wedge with small rear wedge
Motivation: it now uses four storm 2 style Vulcalon wheels
Speed: 12.5 Mph
Weight: 100kg
Height: 300mm to top of body, 600mm to the top of the disc
Length: 1300mm
Width: 600mm
Weapon: 500mm Vert. flywheel @ 3000rpm. Has a 4.00 second spin up time due to the C40-500 Magmotor on 36v with a 2:1 twin tension cog belt reduction. The flywheel produces 31.5Kj€™s at maximum RPM but is lethal at around 1 second. The second weapon is also the srimech, this weapon is a low pressure pneumatic flipper running on 10Bar (145psi) running into a single 80mm bore ram. This produces 509kg at the ram and is then transferred into the flipper with a leverage point ratio of 1:1. This is a forward facing flipper like FireStorm and will have no problem toppling the heaviest of robots.
Chassis: 4mm Grade 5 Titanium monocoque with extra 5mm Titanium ribs to give it more rigidity.
Drive: 2 x S28-400 Magmotors @ 36v with a 10:1 Mod 2 spur gear reduction
Batteries: 90 x 3000mAh NiCD cells producing 36v @ 9amp
Color- the robot and skirts and flipper are blue and the disc is yellow
Clearance- it has 0mm at the front due to the wedge it has 0mm at the sides due to skirts its 6mm with out it also has a 0mm at the rear due to the small wedge which is there to replace the problem of the skirt being flipped into the disc. The skirts are NOT hinged and held down by torsion-springs so they shouldn€™t spring up and the rear one shouldn€™t go up into the disc
Notes- The flywheel is at the back off the robot it goes over the back of the wedge so if I can get a robot up the wedge far enough it will be hit by the disc. The shape of the robot stops it from landing on its side.
Martyn has very kindy filled the last spot, so here are the line-ups!
Eliminators
Back to Rock III vs. Achilles
Bad Temper Jr. vs. Disco 5
Eye of Ran vs. Knyfe
Spin Dash Unleashed vs. Sideswipe
Tactics, predictions, and a big THANKYOU for the quick response. Fights will be posted very quickly, but definetly no more than 1 battle per robot every 24 hours.
Youre very welcome
Back to Rock III vs. Achilles
If Achilles uses the pneumatics, it will flip him OOTA, but if it uses hydraulics, BTR will pit it.
Bad Temper Jr. vs. Disco 5
I think I can say with some confidence that Disco will win easily here
EYE OF RAN vs. Knyfe
My precise tactics will depend on Knyfes setup, but they will likely involve the following:
Start the match off in reverse - this will ensure he cant get across and stop the blade before I spin it up, as I will be using the wedge to deflect him - its 5mm hardox with 0 ground clearance, and he might try to get around the sides, but with the drive wheels positioned just behind the wedge I wont be letting him :P
Once the blade is spun up to about 2/3 of maximum power, swing it into him and try and bash, slash, and generally batter it around until it dies - he has vulkanised rubber on the inside, but he cant protect everything with it, things like his link will be vulnerable. If the fight begins to go the distance, rev the weapon up to max power and go all out.
If he does get under me, given the ground clearance underneath the chassis (6cm) I should be alright regarding grounding and similar things.
You wanted tactics? You got tactics
Spin Dash Unleashed vs. Sideswipe: Leos 15hp spinning object will either obliterate Spin Dash or destroy itself On a more serious note, this is probably the most even battle, either robot could win.
Bad Temper Jr. vs. Disco 5 (moi)
This robot is 20kg lighter than me. So spin up and smash the disc into it alot and try and cause alot of damage to it.
Go for pnuematics and flip it. The old ones are always the best....
BAD TEMPER JRS TACTICS
Why do I always get the duff oppodents?
Anyway, my goal here is to basically attempt to outwit my oppodent. If he charges at me, fire the blade down wherever its facing, then spin until hes deflected away.

Thats rude! Disco is far from duff
Spin dash unleashed vs Sideswipe.
hmmm, sparks will fly thats for sure. Spin and attack is the only viable tactic to play.
