Series 7 had commercial breaks, yes. But they were in specific places, set in stone.

If you go on YouTube and search for some of the fights, youll see them as they aired on TechTV (American). THEY had advert breaks all over the place. Search for the 2nd annihilator of Extreme 1 (with Panic Attack and Disco Inferno) and youll get the idea.
