Thread: Third channel on RS80D controller

    Hi all

    i bought the RS80D controller from the states for my new crusher it has channels and i can use it for other stuff that why i got it

    anyway the third channel i was planning to use for the wepon controller but with conversations with GRant it doesnt seem possible can anyone see a way to do it?

    It depends on how you want to use it. You could cascade that third channel with a bigger relay for instance and have that power the crusher. I wouldnt try to run the crusher straight from that third channel.

    btw, I think the RS80D is a nice controller. If I hadnt bought the Sidewinder first I probably would have went for that one.

    As said, its easy enough to ad relays from that but with it only being a 2 position switcher as far as I can see you can only have up/down with microswitches at the end with no stop in the centre

    no it is 3 postition (forward - off - rev)

    If its a 3 position then it will work fine - I must have missed that part!

    Now that i have the third channel situation sorted now i need the realys in order to control the linear actuator, i am unsure on this topic so any advice would be great ie

    what sort?
    any specs?
    where to buy?

    By the way i have tried to search my self but i am unsure what to get

    Well the linear actuator i will be using is the Duff Norton Minipac which is a 12volt motor but i will run near 24v

    stalled on max load.
    7.2v - 12.5A
    14.4v - 25A
    21.6v - 38A
