I would go for drill motors for drive, personally. They are powerful, light, relatively cheap and also come with the gearbox attached so you don€™t have to go about making one. I use four 14.4v drill motors in OverDrive, which makes its quite fast and powerful. It depends how much you want to spend, but drill motors are a proven drive motor for featherweights.
