No idea who it was, although I deny all responsibility![]()
Tengu = full body spinner, Mantis = those beaks that are rather easy to rip off, and what looks like steel mesh armour...Tengu for the win here.

damn you Liam, youve turned into a respectable tournament writer!![]()
keep it up!
Tactics, same as before. if the ring is spun up, back into it with the back plates first. The spinner doesnt need to stand still, just slowing it down is enough to reach in with the beak. clamp, lift, dump in pit.
if the spinner tries to spin up while clamped it will only burn its batteries or motor or both.
Damn me Marti![]()
Thanks very much
Robot SMASH!! Now returns to your screens for us to show you the heat final of tonight€™s episode, which has been Heat F. First let€™s take a look back at how Mantis and Tengu VII got this far:
The first eliminator saw Mantis pick up and dump Pure Evil: Return of the Disc to head through along with Walk Don€™t Run 3.
The second three-way melee commenced and Tengu knocked Sithis around before it was lifted and pitted by the number #11 seed All Scoop and No Stab Make Steve a Dull Boy.
The first heat semi-final saw Tengu€™s anti-spinner ring stop any damage from Walk Don€™t Run 3 and eventually knock Samuel into the pit and out.
The second saw the number #11 seed All Scoop get dumped into the pit in one of the biggest shocks yet. Mantis proceeded and will meet Mantis in the heat final, but first I€™m in the pits with both teams.
Me: How€™s Tengu looking Alex?
Alex: Good. It took next to no damage in the last fight, and it€™s ready to rumble here.
Me: Are you at all worried about Mantis€™ weaponry?
Alex: It€™s impressive, but without the pit it€™s worthless so as long as I stay away from the pit I€™ll be fine.
Me: Good luck in there.
Alex: Thanks.
Me: Ready to go?
Leo: 100%. The seed went in the last round, and Tengu is a newcomer to the competition so no problems.
Me: But so is Mantis.
Leo: Hmmm... Yes, but it has the experience of a realie.
Me: And Tengu has been around for years... Maybe longer than this version of Mantis.
Leo: It€™s certainly impressive, but I€™ll see what I can do.
Me: Okaaaaaaaaaaaaay, now to a new section of the show we call €œEggheads corner€Â, where we find our technical experts Mr. Einstein and Professor Brainy-Head.
Einstein: I€™m picking Mantis for the win here. Tengu€™s anti-spinner ring won€™t help it here, and if Leo can finish as fast as he did his previous bouts then he€™s laughing.
Prof.: I€™m favouring Tengu VII, actually. Tengu is one of the (if not THE) best vapour FBS/ring spinner out there, and Alex may score his first of many semi-finalists here.
Einstein: I suppose it€™s all a question of whether or not Mantis€™ armour will stand up to Tengu€™s attacks.
Prof.: Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, now let€™s go to the coliseum!
Me: THAT€™S MY CATCHPHRASE, THIEF!
*Pulls of Professor€™s wig*
Me: It€™s Male Kram! Trust you to steal my catchphrase!
*Fires Male Kram and replaces with a real egghead*
Me: Okaaaaaaaaaaaaay, now let€™s go to the coliseum to settle this argument once and for all!
Heat Final

SMASH!!
As this, the final of Heat F gets underway Tengu VII immediately starts spinning up and quickly reaches a dangerous speed as Mantis draws closer, but Alex isn€™t sitting still and moves away, keeping his distance from that intuitive lifter/crusher setup, similar to the device that saw Orka MK.4 through Heat D and into the semis earlier in the series. Will we see a repeat performance here, or is the whale the only clamping bot that will prevail in the heats?
However, it seems that Leo has no intention of having a head-on collision with Alex€™s champion FBS, and he turns around to whack into Tengu with the rear armour plates! CLANG! Tengu€™s blades come to an abrupt halt and Mantis quickly turns, getting in underneath the side of Tengu and lifting with the forks while quickly coming down with the crusher! However, only the left fork and the left claw have managed to hold on, so when Leo hoists Alex into the air one side of Tengu drags on the arena floor on the way to the pit release button and Tengu falls to the ground just as the siren wails for the opening of that chasm! Tengu VII quickly spins up again, and Leo turns around again to ram in with the rear panels, but Alex backs away and speeds in, slamming into Mantis and tearing the right hand side one clean off! But Mantis is spun around by the attack, and since nothing inside seems to be damaged Leo ploughs straight on, getting all three forks underneath Tengu and bringing the full crushing mechanism down on top! Tengu is really caught between a rock and a hard place now, and Mantis hoists its prisoner into the air with glee before turning to head for the pit! Alex looks on in disappointment and Leo smiles with satisfaction as he holds Tengu VII over the pit for three whole seconds before finally lowering his weapons and thus releasing Tengu, who falls into the pit and out of the Heat F final!
CEASE!
Tengu VII spins out of the competition in the shocker that sees our first realie semi-finalist, the one and only Mantis!
Come back next time, when we witness the return of the number #13 seed Super Gore Evo, who made it to the heat G final last time around! The question is, can he square up to the likes of vertical spinner Isolation and powerful saw blade Metal Sonic Spin Dash, not to mention the other three of our dangerous competitors, a number that includes a previously successful vapour flipper, a robot with not one like Isolation, but THREE vertical spinning discs and another with a triangular spinning blade!
Don€™t miss it!
Super Gore Evo (13) v Isolation v Darkestar
Metal Sonic Spin Dash v Wedga€™s Revenge v Tri-Tainium

That was unexpected...well done to Leo, and congrats to Liam on a most w00ty fight![]()
TACTICS, WHICH I HAVE PROBABLY SAID BEFORE, MIGHT EVEN HAVE CHANGED, BUT MEH
Isolations first (and last) appearance coming up...generally try and stay out of things to some extent, and see if I can team with Darkestar and bash Super Gore up a bit, maybe bend those claws.
Have you got net access back Liam? You havent been on MSN for a bit, and its kind of boring![]()
Im on my dads work laptop, since I dont have internett access on my own laptop and our home computers gone bye bye. Im home ill off school at the mo, but mam has just popped down the road and she doesnt know Im using this, so excuse me if I disappear suddenly!
Clamping claws this time around.
When attacking Isolation, bash up against the disc of Isolation and grapple onto it. See if I can shove it into Darkestars own disc.
When attacking Darkestar, try and grab the tracks and damage them. Shunt into Isolations disc.
In other words, try and make excellent use of the opponents spinning weapons.![]()
