Heat F of Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged is about to get underway! Please take your seats ladies and gentlemen, buy your popcorn and place your bets because tonight marks the return of the number #11 seed All Scoop and No Stab Make Steve a Dull Boy!
Mantis v Walk Don€™t Run 3 v Pure Evil: Return of the Disc
All Scoop and No Stab Make Steve a Dull Boy (11) v Tengu v Sithis

    Eliminator 1

Built and entered by Leo Van Miert, Mantis!
This is actually the second incarnation of Mantis, built by Leo. This robots predecessor competed in RW7, jabbing Jabber in round 1 while Bulldog Breed 3- the number 14 seed- disposed of Infernal Contraption 2. However in round 2 Kat 3 put an end to the Mantis on a judge€™s decision.

    In RS!!1: Didn€™t enter

Created and entered by Samuel Park, Walk Don€™t Run 3!
The first of four FBS/ring spinners in this heat, Walk Don€™t Run 3 packs a punch! Samuel has a taste for spinners, and this one has the potential to go further than Turbo Shredder did back in Heat C.

    In RS!!1: Didn€™t enter

Created and entered by Daniel Stickler, Pure Evil: Return of the Disc!
Like SOR X in the last heat, this robot has a spinning rim that not only shreds the opposition, but provides the power for the front flipper. It has over 300Kj in the hit, so Daniel has to tone it down unless Pure Evil wants to self-destruct!

In RS!!1: Flipped Another Night at the Bar OOTA in the eliminator, but was knocked out of contention by the eventual bronze medallist ISDSFA in the heat semi-final.

    Roboteers, standby!

Booth 1: Leo Van Miert, Samuel Park

    SMASH!!

Pure Evil and Walk Don€™t Run 3 both start spinning up to speed very quickly and head towards each other in the arena, Daniel slipping that wedge slickly in underneath Walk Don€™t Run and sending Samuel up and over onto his back! Walk Don€™t Run shuffles away and spins up again, but while all this has been happening Mantis went straight for the pit release button, and now Leo comes on the attack of Pure Evil, getting in underneath and lifting, but it wasn€™t far enough underneath and Daniel is flipped over. And in comes Walk Don€™t Run 3 before Pure Evil gets spinning again and slams into Daniel! CRASH! The Warrior SKF-alike is spun onto the lifter of Mantis, and Leo crushes down to keep Pure Evil: Return of the Disc in place and lifts Daniel into the air, holding him aloft for a moment before reversing across the coliseum until he€™s next to the pit of more-oblivion-than-the-robot-wars-one! Mantis turns, and there€™s a menacing glint in Leo€™s evil eyes as his mean machine dumps the veteran into the pit of more-oblivion-than-the-robot-wars-one and out of contention in Robot SMASH!! Series 2: Recharged, this is a competition-more-w00ty-than-robot-wars-ever-was-because-I-said-so.

    CEASE!

Another very fast match and Leo finishes off the malevolent rim spinner that seemed so promising yet again, but like last time failed to deliver. Mantis and Walk Don€™t Run 3 go through to round 2!
I€™m here in the pits now with Daniel.
    Me: That was quick.
Daniel: Yeah, they were both really aggressive and I never really got going.
Me: Well, SGO is already through to the semis and you€™ve got plenty of chances yet.
Daniel: Yeah, just got to use them better.
Me: Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, now it€™s back to the coliseum for the second eliminator!

    Eliminator 2

Created and entered by Steven McGregor, the number #11 seed, All Scoop and No Stab Make Steve a Dull Boy!
A reverse wedge with a flipping scoop and axe this robot could do well again. As you can see by the 11th seeding it reached the heat final last year, only losing to Supreme Glory Omega. This robot also has the longest name EVER, so like last time it will be shortened to All Scoop.

In RS!!1: After a hard fight with Back to Rock III Steven put the rock in the pit, and in round 2 All Scoop was thrown around by Shadow Zone Returns, but came back strongly to win through to the heat final, where it was clubbed to death by the eventual 4th placed robot Supreme Glory Omega.

Created and entered by Alex Holt, Tengu VII!
Regarded by many as the greatest vapour FBS of all time, this robot has interchangeable blades, a srimech and extremely powerful spinning shell to knock the other bots out for the count. It€™s a very popular bot, and should do well.

    In RS!!1: Didn€™t enter

Created and entered by Danny Bailey, Sithis!
Another invertible ring spinner, but this one has wheels and so will fly upon contact with an opponent. It has competed in my tournaments before, and recently came second in ETC08 Extreme: Annihilator, but it has never fought in RS!! before.

    In RS!!1: Didn€™t enter

    Roboteers, standby!

    SMASH!!

Tengu starts spinning up, as does Sithis while All Scoop heads off across the arena and hits the pit release button. Where have we seen these sorts of tactics before- two FBS/ring spinners and a clamping bot that heads straight for the pit? Dj Vu? I think so. Well anyway, Tengu is now at full speed and knocks into Sithis, stopping Danny€™s ring and knocking the robot away across the arena with ease! Sithis however, is quick to recover and goes on the attack of All Scoop, slamming into the side and damaging a skirt! But Steven easily stands strong and turns to get underneath, slamming Sithis on top with the axe and hoisting the troubled ring spinner into the air! This all seems very familiar, and it seems I may as well have copied and pasted the above battle, then changed the robot names! Ah well, too late now, and All Scoop effortlessly glides across the coliseum and dumps Sithis into the pit of more-oblivion-than-the-robot-wars-one! *Grapples with extreme paranoia and dj vu*

    CEASE!

Another short fight, and Sithis joins the dead robots in the abyss as All Scoop and Tengu go through to round 2!

Here in the pits now we have Danny with us.
    Me: Bad luck, huh?
Danny: I did some decent damage to All Scoop, but that clamping thing is hard and Tengu did a lot too.
Me: I hope to see Sithis back next series then.
    Danny: Me too.
Me: Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, now let€™s take a look at the round 2 line-up!
    Walk Don€™t Run 3 v Tengu
All Scoop and No Stab Make Steve a Dull Boy (11) v Mantis
What do you mean those fights were short? Then don€™t enter clamping bots!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..... I hate clamping bots...

Welcome back to Robot SMASH!! , where round 2 of the thus far explosive Heat F is about to get underway!
    Walk Don€™t Run 3 v Tengu VII
    All Scoop (11) v Mantis
Let€™s get into the coliseum to kick off round 2!

    Heat Semi-Final 1

Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome back to the coliseum Walk Don€™t Run 3 and Tengu VII.

    Roboteers, standby!

    Booth 1: Samuel Park
    Booth 2: Alex Holt

    SMASH!!

Both robots start spinning up, but as Tengu advances Walk Don€™t Run 3 clearly has no intention of attacking just yet and shuffles away from the pursuing FBS, walking (not running) across the arena and hitting the pit release button! Samuel looks pleased and circles around to face Tengu, but Alex seems unfazed and simply slams into the approaching Walk Don€™t Run 3 with a nice amount of power! CRASH! Walk Don€™t Run 3€™s ring comes to an abrupt stop, but Tengu€™s anti-spinner ring deflects Samuel€™s attack and so Alex attacks again! CRASH! This time Walk Don€™t Run 3 is spun away across the arena and onto the killsaws! BZZT! Walk Don€™t Run is toppled, but stays the right way up and pushes Tengu into the arena wall. Alex escapes and spins up again, and now comes in to meet the also spinning Walk Don€™t Run 3, which comes off the worst for ware once again! Walk Don€™t Run 3 should seriously consider doing some running NOW, forget walking, but it€™s a stubborn old mule and Samuel lands his own attack on Tengu, but thanks to that anti-spinner ring Tengu VII feels completely happy and spins up that dangerous shell again, slamming into Walk Don€™t Run 3 with a hell of a hit! Samuel is feeling pretty bad now and Walk Don€™t Run 3 begins to shuffle towards the pit, it seems that Samuel will be attempting to lure Tengu into dangerous waters, but it doesn€™t work very well as Tengu follows Samuel and slams into his robot again, sending him spinning onto the edge of the pit, with one side suspended over the abyss and one shuffling helplessly on the ground, trying to get some much-needed leverage. But it€™s just not happening and Alex grins malevolently as Tengu moves in for the kill, not even bothering to spin up as he just nudges Walk Don€™t Run 3, which topples into the pit and out of the competition in a great big puff of smoke!

    CEASE!

    Walk Don€™t Run 3 should consider running;
Tengu VII waltzes on to the heat final!

We go now to the pits where Samuel is stowing Walk Don€™t Run in a large safe.
Me: That didn€™t go exactly to plan, did it?
Samuel: No, his anti-spinner ring worked well and stopped my attacks, so I was unable to damage him.
Me: I can€™t say the same for you.
    Samuel: Sadly.
Me: Ah well, you can€™t win them all.
    Samuel: I repeat, sadly.
Me: Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, but now it€™s back to the coliseum for match two!

    Heat Semi-Final 2

Ladies and Gentlemen, please applaud the return of the number #11 seed All Scoop and No Stab Make Steve a Dull Boy and his opponent with a far more manageable name, Mantis!

    Roboteers, standby!

    Booth 1: Steven McGregor
    Booth 2: Leo Van Miert

    SMASH!!

The seed gets off the mark quickly, but not as quickly as its opponent, which shoots across the arena and hits the pit release button just like it did in round 1. Well, these can both clamp each other, so we expect these kind of boring get-it-over-with-quickly tactics. All Scoop gets around the side of Mantis now though and flips Leo over onto his back, but Mantis successfully rolls over and comes back on the attack, getting in underneath the raised scoop of the seed and clamping down from above, then using that intuitive weapon synergy to hoist Steven into the air! It seems that this could be the end for the number#11 seed, but All Scoop slips out from Mantis€™ grasp and reverses away, then comes back in from behind and slams Leo with his axe! However, there€™s no real damage, so All Scoop flips Mantis up with its scoop, but the claw of Mantis hits the ground and falls back down onto its wheels, and now Leo comes around and once again slips that lifter in underneath the raised scoop of Steven€™s machine, clamps down on top and lifts it high into the air with a great power! Wheels are useless up there, and now Leo smiles to himself and drives over to the chasm and holds All Scoop over that big hole in the floor which has seen the death of so many competitors. The crowd scream with joy and Leo performs the expected move, delivering a big shock on the 11th seed€™s defeat and another quick win.

    CEASE!

Two clamping bots, only one got a grip.
    All Scoop needs more stab,
Mantis doesn€™t need any extra grab and goes through to the heat final!

I€™m here in the pits now with Steven.
    Me: We weren€™t expecting that!
Steven: Me either. Its a very good realie, it surprised me.
Me: A similar design to your, huh?
Steven: Not really, as Mantis has to clamp to be any good, with All Scoop clamping is an option. It can flip and axe separately if need be.
Me: Mantis can crush and lift separately.
Steven: Yes, but it wouldn€™t be as effective, as the lifter isn€™t really good as a sole flipping/lifting weapon by itself.
Me: Sad to see All Scoop go out earlier than last time, even if it was only by one teeny-weeny little round.
Steven: Yeah, but there€™s always next time, right?
    Me: Yeah, there should be.
Steven: Haven€™t we been talking long enough?
Me: Yeah, but I need to lengthen this episode to make up for your stupid clamping tactics! Now shut up, think and say something funny you idiot, we€™re still on!
    Steven: Erm...
Me: (slaps Steve) Well be right back with the heat final right after this long ad break. It€™s long because of those fights! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

    Heat F Final:
    Tengu VII v Mantis
Tactics, predictions and a w00t for the genius behind that massive tournament Kody and AJ thought of!
