pair on long nose pliers in between motor body and gear, and lever it off. thats how i do it.
First of all close the chuck. I found this was a necessity as without doing it they just turned endlessly and didnt come off.
Then get a spanner on it. There is a flat part on the underside of the chuck between the drill and the chuck (Do it before you dismantle the drill itself).
Then with spanner in place hit it with a hammer. this makes it loose enough to get off by hand.
Be aware that the spanner is likely to fly across the room if it comes loose but it normally doesnt.

I think Alex means the actual pinion gear on the motor shaft. I would heat the pinion up as well as using Adrians method, but heating will require less force to get it off.
or clamp the gear in a vice and tap the motor shaft through with a punch.

having some more problems with drill motors cant get the blue wheel off
any tips?
Assuming that you have removed the lefthand screw.
Drive the bot around in the required direction to undo the wheel... hard acceleration in the required direction .
Or place a booted foot on top of the wheel and attempt to drive the bot ... making sure that your attempting to undo the motor from the wheel.
You can do a similar thing with the motor assembly in a vice ...gripping the wheel ... and applying power to the motor...take care ...use gloves etc.
still having trouble getting this wheel off, i have tried putting the wheel in a vice then putting power to the motor no luck as of yet
any other ways? ill be trying the above again just to be sure
