Official Team BriteSpark Tactics and Predictions!![]()
Heat A
Gabriel II v Acronyms FTW
The worst weapon a horizontal crusher like Acronyms FTW could face is a flipper, and that€™s exactly what Gabriel is. Gabriel for an easy win. Sorry Frank.
Cyrilium 2 v Liar 2
Liar 2 to dominate this fight.
Nitro-Gene 4.0 v Intrigue
This is very difficult to call. I like the look of Intrigue, but with limited C02 supply on board against a flipper, I think Nitro-Gene may cause an upset here. But on the other hand, Intrigue could use it€™s front and rear wedges to slam Nitro around the arena€¦. Ummmm€¦ pass?![]()
The Botles Reunited v Weapon Synergy
Hmmm€¦ 5 robots against 4€¦. Seriously though, Weapon Synergy may be able to outnumber Botles, but they do have 5kg less weight on each segment compared to Steve€™s robots. However, their weak armouring should be no match for Disc and Axe, whilst Ram and Claw can slam them around.
Heat B
D.V.D v Iron Awe 5
Not only can DVD€™s drum damage, but it can also flip. Therefore I think DVD will score a victory here by flipping Iron Awe with the drum, rupturing the C02 supply and rendering its opponent weaponless as it goes to the judges.
Dead Horse Beater v Supreme Glory Omega
Axe vs Axe€¦ basically try and get underneath DHB and drive it into the pit. Maybe use the axe to clamp down on it? This fight could go either way: depends on who gets the lucky hit in.
Shadow Zone Returns v Fire and Ice
SZR to slam Fire and Ice all over the place. Easy win for Kody here.
All Scoop And No Stab Make Steve A Dull Boy v Back to Rock III
I think Steve-o could win this. BtR3€™s weaponry is focused solely on the front of the robot. If Steve can get around the sides of BtR3, then it can win.
Heat C
Worck v Typhoon 2
Typhoonn to be blown away by Worck, who€™s strong armouring deflects the spinner€™s attacks.
The Curse v Nidhogg
The Curse to pwn Nidhogg. That easy.
Turbo Tails v Sheer Heart Attack 2
€˜Do-all with a drum€™ to completely obliterate poor Tails in a turbo manner.![]()
Mega Monsoon v Door Stops
Ram, ram, ram some more. Then to be different ram.
Heat D
Another Night at the Bar v Pure Evil: Revenge Of The Disc
What€¦the€¦ How on Earth am I supposed to attack that? Right, keep the spinning disc at roughly 1800RPM, therefore reducing my kJ output and reducing the chance I will self destruct. Judging from the render, it is possible to attack the wheels from the sides, as the wheels poke out only slightly from the wheel guards. Therefore I will use my spinner against those wheels to try and immobilise Martijn€™s robot. If that does not work, use ANATB€™s width against it by trying to get it to deflect into the pit from any hit it has on me.
The Quaestor v Coinst
The Quaestor FTW.
259 v ISDSFA
259 out in 2.59 seconds.
E Clawdius Unum v Killobite 5.0
Clawdius to triumph via a pitting.
Heat E
Bar-Red v No Objections
Bar-Red to damage No Objections enough to win a close Judges€™ Decision.
Biohazard v Tira III
No srimech? n00b!. Biohazard to go through.
The May Tracks Has You v Sonic Boom
Sonic Boom was originally designed as an Anti-6isc robot, so beating another one of Frank€™s robots should be OK. The spike/flipper combo of May Tracks is useless against my wheels, so I will drive up his wedge, slam the brakes on and bring the momentum axe over the top and slamming into his flipper. If that fails, be annoying like Stinger
.
With or Without You v Whirligig 4.5
Clusterbot vs scary FBS. Hmmm€¦ With or Without You may end up with or without it€™s armour. Whirly to go through in a shower of sparks and dead clusterbots.
Heat F
Life and Death v MeCannibal 2.0
See €˜With or Without You vs Whirligig 4.5€™.
Vlad the Impaler v Sakura
Sakura to beat Vlad easily. A few hits to the shell, rupture the C02 supply.
Seung Mina IV v Metal Sonic Spin Dash
Doesnn€™t the flipper look a bit thin on Seung Mina? The flipper to go through anyways, maybe via a JD.
Flick of the Wrist v Dennis the Menace
Spin up the drum to around 7500RPM (should take roughly 3 seconds due to the power in the chainsaw motors and the gearing) and attack. 7mm Titanium is no match here.
Heat G
Haardvark v Storm II
Storm II through sails through.
Gravity v Killotine: EVO
Killotine flipped OOTA (sorry!!).
Tempest Evil-est-oution v Dervish V
Urgh. Every time Dervish enters a tournament it is pitted against a machine like Tempest. Open the pit and hope to deflect it after it hits my wheels off!![]()
Axe to Fall v Super Gore Evo
Super Gore Evo to pit Axe to Fall in a very quick match.
Heat H
The Darke Destroyer v Ming DieNasty
I€™ll go for Minng Dienasty, as it has the weight advantage and a srimech.
The 6isc v Wedginator 6.0
The 6isc to win.
Razer v Terrorhurtz
I€™m gonna say Razer to win, although if Thz gets a good hit with the axe it could prove telling.
Wedge Devolution v Woodpecker
For this fight I will use the axe mechanism. I aim to get underneath Wedge Devo and use the axe to show aggression and dominance. As stated in the stats, the axe isn€™t there to cause damage per se, but to help it if it goes to a JD.
Heat winners:
A - Intrigue looks promising.
B - Shadow Zone or Scoop and Stab.
C - Sheer Heart Attack.
D - Another Night at the Bar.
E - Whirligig 4.5 to dominate this heat.
F - Any of them could win, apart from Life and Death, MeCannibal, Vlad, Sakura, Seung Mina, MSSD or Flick of the Wrist€¦.. what?![]()
G - Gravity or Storm to represent the realies.
H - The 6isc.
