Thank you Paul, the Achilles vs Dennis battle I think shows perfectly how the arena works

it had some imaginable moments, it is fiction after all , nothing out of it was impossible though

    EDIT: thank u 2 Andre

Get in, get under, flip OOTA.

Woo, super-srimech combo, Id always been vaguely aware that could work, but never had a use for it before. Nice fights, and nice imaginitive tournament in general.

    Cat With Wheels vs Hoof

Cat With Wheels: And here we see the first front hinged flipper within this flipper-favoured menace . Cat With Wheels is yer basic Firestorm-style 2WD flipper, with the added bonus of a pair of skirts of course.

Hoof: It€™s a€¦ rear hinged wedge flipper! €œBooooooooooooooooooooring!€, Some of you may shout, but hey, you can€™t deny the effectiveness of such weapon in this tournament . Hoof comes with some extras, among which is flipper full of lead particles to keep that weapon closer to the ground .

Here€™s 2 machines both with the exact same 2WD Mag drive charging straight in at each other. Hoof accelerates slightly better and has a nice shot at Cat€™s side, but Cat turns around formidable and scares Hoof off with its catlike paintjob (and of course, with its flipper). Cat With Wheels is a fairly new vapour made by a fairly new vapourboteer, yet it managed to beat the feared vapour knows as SOR already in its short career. Dave is aware of this (heck, he wrote that match ) and mr. Sheppard also knows SOR and Hoof DO share some similarities, so Dave€™s looking to get rid of Cat asap. Unlucky for Dave, Danny has other plans. The two have been driving around each other for a while now both looking to get that vital flip in, and Cat retreats! Danny knows driving around each other won€™t cut it and decides to show off his superior speed and gains distance fast! Hoof eagerly gives chase, and Cat makes a U-turn to confront €œone of the best songs of last years€ (as Dave tolde me). Hoof proofs to be the slightly more controlled though€¦ it turns around, gets that wedge against Cat€™s side skirt, the lead pumps it under with ease€¦
    FLIP!
Hoof draws first blood in this game, and it looks nasty . That flipper has some nice power behind it, but so does Cat€™s! With ease, and before Hoof comes in to get some more of it! The self-righting move of the wheeled mammal brought it right next to Hoof and Cat comes in! First the wedge hits that skirt (which only covers half Hoof€™s side), but then Cat manages to surpass the skirt and to slam its way underneath that unprotect area of Hoof. Dave does NOT want to take the risk of being pushed around and attempts to activate his own flipper to get off, just as Cat uses its own flipper.
    FLIP!
Hoof tastes his own medicine and lies on its back now, gracious courtesy of Danny€™s front hinged flipper. Dave€™s own srimech doesn€™t look at smooth as Cat€™s (what can I say, I€™m a sucker for front hinged flipper self-righting ), but the power behind coupled with a rounded back makes for a very effective way to self-right, and so Hoof does . Hoof turns around, Cat turns around, and there they stand facing each other wedge-to-wedge. There we are, 2 flips later both bots stand looking at each other like nothing happened . Hoof yet again shows superior control though when he attacks Cats front corner, and he succeeds in doing so!
    FLIP!
W00t, Hoof does it again, and it accelerates like a mad bull to make the most of it. Cat does self right but Hoof gracefully steers around and wedges Cat, again! Does he flip? No! Dave seems to think this is the chance he€™s been waiting for and takes Cat to the walls!
    FLIP!
    30€¦
    29€¦
Dave did it! Cat With Wheels is OOTA and has 30 seconds to recover! Cat lies on its back, its side parallel to the wall, will a nifty self-righting action do the trick?
    FLIP!
Cat With Wheels is back on its Wheels! But still OOTA! Danny€™s face is looking more and more desperate, but he won€™t give up€¦ he literally SLAMS his wedge against the wall€¦

    The Zenith vs GeForce 4.0

The Zenith: Uniqueness by Kody Kunz himself . Thought the only spinners that could flip robot were VERTICAL spinners? Then think again! The Zenith is a full body spinner that hits you with wedges rather then teeth, wedges that go around at 1750 rpm! That HAS to make an impact!

GeForce 4.0: NOT ANOTHER WEDGE FLIPPER! Well, GeForce might very well be the most powerful one of the bunch. An 80mm bore ram that is pumped with Nitrogen gas at 1000psi powers it, so its bound to send SOME bots flying!

    3€¦
    2€¦
    1€¦
    ACTIVATE!

And who thought we€™d see a genuine full body spinner in this tournament? Not me folks! But mere days after Andre unsuccessfully attempted to take down Wedge Devolution with a bar spinner, we see Kody viciously spinning up his€¦ wedge spinner in an attempt to take down GeForce 4.0. Andy€™s fantastic flipper drives in and towards The Zenith, who in turn€¦ reverses? Kody€™s using an common tactic for spinners and drives away from its opponent to give that massive weapon a chance to spin up to full speed, and so it does! GeForce comes in rather late€¦
    CRASH!
Oof! A brave hit by The Zenith, but a combination of good shape and armour from GeForce€™s side makes the flipper survive the hit rather well, even though it€™s slammed aside a little. As a matter of fact, Zenith€™s wedge glanced OVER GeForce€™s side skirt and Zenith itself topples upright and starts moving like a coin tossed on the ground! The wide vapourbot bounces from one wedge on the other until it comes done on the ground with a twack. The ring still has some speed left in it though and The Zenith now swerves away from the recovered GeForce to get that speed even higher. In comes GeForces, and The Zenith takes a more offensive stance. The Zenith attacks!
    CRASH!
Argh! Andy is a lot less pleased this time! The Zenith rips GeForce€™s side skirt clean off, wedges GeForce, and flips it up and over! Andy is lucky enough that the process of ripping off the skirt absorbed some of the energy making the hit less effective, but GeForce lies on its back nonetheless! The Zenith in the meantime had its wedge pressed to the ground because of the process of getting under GeForce and the whole robot is tolling around€¦ again! Actually its bouncing so bad that it ends up on its back! Andy swiftly utilises his effective srimech in a stylish 540-degree flip and goes after the inverted Zenith, who has activated its own srimech. Zenith again attempts to move away from GeForce but GeForce€™s power is too overwhelming! GeForce has wedged The Zenith and takes it away€¦ away€¦ and to the wall!
    FLIP!
The Zenith is send flying over! OOTA! Not a rare occasion in this tournament, the judges grab their watches. The Zenith self-rights all right, but not back into the arena. Kody However has a plan up his sleeve. The Zenith starts driving along the wall of the arena! Andy eagerly wants to welcome The Zenith back into the arena if Kody€™s plan succeeds, and therefor mirrors The Zenith€™s path. The Zenith is speeding up quickly, GeForce still following along. The Zenith€™s going faster and faster and€¦ turns towards the wall!

    Cosmic Thunder 2 vs Y4

Cosmic Thunder 2: Yet another wedge flipper . Alex M and W entered a very low skirted wedge with transparent Hardox for an armour . Very creative Alex .

Y4: A rarer breed of flippers, the T-Minus look-alike. This boxier variant sacrifices a long arm for more advantageous leverage. Lets see how this works out .

Two machines with the exact same top speed head towards each other, both looking to get a flipper weapon in! Y4 steers for a careful attack, Cosmic Thunder steers for a careful attack€¦
    CLANG!
Wedge hits wedge! Amazing! The 2 low to the ground wedges are well designed and won€™t give in. Cosmic Thunder retreats a bit, drives around, and now penetrates the boxy bottom of its opponent!
    FLIP!
Cosmic Thunder deals the first hit in this Flipper Frenzy with a big powerflip on Y4. Cosmic Thunder steers its way towards the T-Minus look-alike, but Alex forgot to notice its invertibility . Y4 turns away and moves clear from danger. Chris presses a mighty red button on his controller and sends T-Minus high into the air and back onto the ground in a stylish motion. Cosmic Thunder is still right behind it, but the 2 wheel driven Y4 isn€™t all that unmanoeuvrable itself and drives around the side of Cosmic Thunder and clean underneath Cosmic Thunder€™s side skirt that oddly leaves 0.5 mm GC underneath it€¦
    FLIP!
Whoa! Y4 almost topples over itself with that flip, and Cosmic Thunder goes cosmic . The Thunder falls down and bounces towards the wall, but stays within the boundaries of my arena. Y4 gives chase, but Cosmic Thunder is just as invertible as Y4 and drives away to self-right and fight another day. Cosmic Thunder turns around, and the two battling bots face wedge-to-wedge. Cosmic Thunder displays its superior manoeuvrability and finds its way under Y4! Alex takes Y4 a few metres forwards this time rather than flipping it immediately. Y4 tries to move off the wedge by activating its own flipper, but Alex is quick with the controls€¦
    FLIP!
Wow! Y4 travels a few metres through the air before falling down and OOTA! This has to be the longest throw to an OOTA so far in this tournament, and Alex pats his own shoulder for pulling it off. Chris himself doesn€™t look all too worried oddly and steers his inverted invertible machine with its rear facing the wall. Cosmic Thunder lines up to welcome it back, since Alex is well aware of what might happen next€¦
    FLIP!
DAMN! Y4 turns around 720 degrees through the air like a mad Tasmanian Devil and lands back into the arena, again on its back, and on top of Cosmic Thunder! Y4€™s wheels get a grip on Cosmic Thunder€™s see-through Hardox and drives off just as Alex uses his flipper!
    FLIP!
Y4 moves high rather than far due to it moving to the back of Cosmic Thunder€™s wedge and twacks down RIGHT behind Cosmic Thunder. Alex reverses his machine and uses his rear skirt to wedge rush Y4 and push it around, and the relatively underpowered 2WD flipper proofs to be an effective rambot . Chris uses his good ol€™ €œflip yerself and get out of danger€-tactic again, and comes down right next to Cosmic Thunder. The agile cosmic vapour however is getting up to steam and turns around (still in reverse), to continue its rambot-imitation, now into the direction of the pit! Before Y4 can use its trick again, Cosmic Thunder improvises and does a front-hinged flipper imitation. Y4 is slammed towards the wall€¦ and narrowly over, and into the pit!

    Ah, forgot about this...

I think I might be able to get the axe stuck in the beater and stop it - either that, or the axe will be ripped off. Uh, try to push it around, avoid the weapon, use the axe on non-weapon bits, and if I end up outside, I can self-right, raise the bodyshell to maximum clearance and just drive back in.

    Good luck Aaron
