Thats right - after my recent cancelation of E.O.T.R 3, Im launching E.O.T.R 4!!

EYE OF THE ROBOT - SERIES 4

I first started fan-fiction writing in 2007, with E.O.T.R Series 1:

This was an awesome achievement for me, Series 1 had 72 robots, 71 losing, but one great robot winning, called Killotine: EVO, belonging to Steven McGregor. Killotine intended to keep the crown, but he couldn€™t keep onto it, but another Steven McGregor robot was there to grab onto the title, and it got there by using its mighty ring of doom and using his 9 teeth to wreck carnage, as Whirligig 4.0 bashed its way to greatness! However, Whirligig nor Steven could keep the crown on his head, and instead It went to a rushing flip master belong to Alex Holt called Kali

The line-up is going to be like this

R7 (GRAND FINAL) - ONE ON ONE

Now for the arena:

The Arena

The €˜WreckTaGon€™ is a hexagon shaped arena with three starting squares, coloured gold, green and blue. Originally, it had very little in the way of hazards, and still does, but these are very deadly - we still have the flipping spikes, and we also have the impaling spikes, set in sets of 5 in each corner of the arena, each made of Hardox and designed to cause serious damage. The pit release button for this arena is located on the bottom right side of the arena, with the actual pit being a mere 1meter away from it. The arena is indestructible, with the floor being made of 50mm Hardox, with 3mm of polished Stainless Steel over the top of that, making the floor impossible to damage and VERY SLIPPERY! The walls are also made of 50mm Hardox, and are 45cm high, giving everyone the ability to flip someone OOTA! The arena (from a birds-eye view) is 5metres down and 7metres wide.

The Entry-Rules

€ I need 12 people to enter 8 robots (You can make a team with another vapourboteer if you wish)
€ You must have a MAXIMUM of 4 real-robots and MINIMUM of 2.
€ Wheeled robots must weigh 100kg
€ Shuffling robots weigh 110kg
€ Walkers weights 135kg
€ When you enter, give me your team€™s name, and a link for your robot stats, so I can find them!

Reserving

To reserve a place, you NEED to post the names of ALL the entrants youre entering and then post the stats in on a later date. If you just say reverse me a spot, but dont post the ane of what youre planning to enter, then you wont be reserved.

The Judging System

Basically, Ive changed my system - has 6 catogories, in which I mark out of 10. I then times that score in each section by how much the section is worth:

Dominance = ? x 6
Damage = ? x 5
Aggression = ? x 4
Stategy = ? x 3
Control = ? x 2
Style = ? x 1

Pal, given that you just had to cancel EOTR 3, is starting EOTR 4 a day later really a good idea?

Id have to agree with Frank here. If you cancelled EOTR3 yesterday, stating that you were too busy to complete fights for it, why on Earth would you start EOTR 4 today?

Because Im off school today due to a PDDay, so I have all of today free.

You could have delayed EOTR3, its not unnatural to delay tournament, seeing as we do that a lot.

Yeah, Ill have to think about entering this time. I dont want to enter my bots in a tournament that becomes a hypothetical after one heat, and especially because that hypo was due to a brief panic.

Paul, Im dissapointed in you atm. One cancels a tournament because theyll be busy for a long period, or because they lost interest in vapourbotering, or simply because theyre under too much pressure, not because they have to wait a whole 24 hours for a day off school.

If this only lasted a day, you could have easilly continued EOTR 3. Some majors have been delayed for months because of pressure like this, delaying EOTR 3 a single day would go unnoticed.

Either you didnt think this trough, or youre simply pressurizing YOURSELF way too much. If your parents and teachers really say you dont have time for this sport, then just put it at the VERY BOTTOM of your priority list untill you have enough time to actually do it. I know you love this game, but if youre too busy to host a major, than dont. When your vacation starts, or whenever youre ready for it, by all means open EOTR 4, ok?

Perhaps you can also find the time to host little 4 or 8-way tournaments, or grudge-matches till then, but do not make a major untill youre 100% sure youre out of the pressure-zone.

Yes, I think maybe I shouldnt have cancelled E.O.T.R 3 as I did that after a day in which I felt really depressed about certain things like school work and my love-life (the latter is going extremely and embarrasingly wrong), and in a brief moment of panic, as Martijn just said, I decided to cancel my own tornument before starting another one the day after. It was mainly my dad who was pressuring me, as this morning my mum said that I shouldnt have cancelled it. After this morning, I now believe Im out of the pressure zone - Im sure about it - Im just annoyed that I wanted to get it done, but wasnt sure about how to go about doing it.

When you cancelled the tournament yesterday, how long did you think your pressure zone would last? A week? A month?

I see yesterday was rough on you, but throwing something out of the window every time youre in a brief moment of panic is a bad habbit no mather how you look at it, in your later life, but certainly also when writing a major tournament that can drag on for a looong time. Something this big can easilly take more than 6 months, and from my own experiences I can say having 6 months without any stress is very rare to say the least, so make sure you think this all through.
