lol ye adrian this years going to be good and i dont think we will dominate this year - if spinners do as well as they can then i can see them winning

the one thing i noticed with kennys is that it took a while for the ram to come down - im sure he can sort that but thats a main problem and could cost him a few fights - main thing for flipper tho is to get them out - i like beauty as we just put robots over the side of the arena and not 10 foot in the air which makes them bounce back into the arena

and adrian you cant have a year off! ill have to find someone else to have pre event banter with! lol and you have a new spinner and cluster to fight with

    quote:

If you have a line between the regulator and the bottle (in this case a solid device rated to 3000psi) can the burst disc in the bottle (rated about 2000max i was told) be replaced for a 1000psi relief? If your regulator is not directly attached to the bottle, you require a seperate pressure relief device. Even with a burst disc of lower pressure, you still require the equipment to be rated above that of the bottles certification.

The bottles burst disc should not be modified.

you have a dab hand for a milling machine, you should make a PRV to go instead of the disk!

With regards to the tech check day I have made a website that is password protected, and it can form an online tech check reports database for all event organisers.

The intention of this database is to provide all event organisers and their technical crew in particular with information on previous tech check reports from different event organisers. This way tech checkers will know what to look out for when a particular robot attends their event when it hasnt been to one of yours before. All information is shared in strict confidence and is for use of the FRA Event organisers only.

Basically you can look up robots in the database, add reports to it, or create new robot entries. If there has been a historie of to be improved or failed techchecks, they will be easy to spot.

It has an export function, so you can take the data with you to the venue before you leave.

Of course I will not force anyone to use it, but I can see the value of a system like that and I hope others will do too. The big benefit is that normally you would not see the tech check results of other EOs and they might find something you missed or vice versa.

Those that I havent spoken to about this, you can contact me via email at leo@computerclub.nl so I can provide you with a username and password. If only just to take a look.
