Can anyone tell me how much hardox weighs?
I am just realy looking for weight for a square meter so i can do an approximation of how much the shell will weigh. (Probably about 3mm thick).

3.2mm is the thinnest you can get but it is very expensive compared to the thicker pieces. I would recommend looking at 4mm plus
8 kg dm³.
A sheet 1m² of 3.2mm is 25.6 kg. A 1m² 4mm sheet is 32.108 kg.
Thanks for that.
Andy
The correct figure for carbon steel is 7.85 kg/mcu. A 1000 x 1000 x 3.2mm sheet would weigh 25.12 kgs. If you struggle to get hold of some then let me know. I have a contact who may be able to offer some off cuts of 3.2mm Hardox 450.

Check the web for ABBA Commercials Ltd. Ask them for a price on an off cut. I dont sell it in small bits, as I bring it into the UK in 7.5mx2.5mx3.2mm plates.
Tah!
