The damage is only limited to the side armour, front armour and forks, of which all should be easy enough to repair.

The Killer Toad Tournament
Semi-Final 1
Flick of the Wrist vs. Hypertension Mk 3
And so the time has come for the first of the 2 semi finals, the final push to get to Wembley, where I will be on the 17th May, but before then, there is a small matter of which robot will go forward into the final.
The first robot into the arena is Flick of the Wrist, repaired from the quarter-finals, so the paintwork will not win any awards from the judges, but it€™s route to the semi finals is pitiful, pitting Forklift 2, pitting Wedga€™s Revenge and last time pitting Resonance after taking some serious damage. Mart has been busy as a beaver repairing Flick of the Wrist, but all was working earlier in the test zone.
The 2nd robot into the arena is Hypertension Mk 3; Hypo has repaired the dents in the top caused by Axe to fall, as Matt hopes to do the double over Mart. In round 1, Hypertension put Acronyms over the fence. In round 2, Hypo placed spinner proof Baldur over the fence and in the quarter finals; Axe to fall was the 3rd robot to go for a flying lesson.
The robots are ready for some action; the stage doors are secured, as both drivers give their thumbs up.

Both robots are away straight away, not wanting to hang around as Hypo comes onto the first attack to try and get underneath the ground clearance of Flick of the Wrist to place it over the fence, as Mart has lowered his front forks down, so much that the front 2 wheels of Flick of the Wrist are off the ground, as the power is transferred to the rear 4 wheels, as Flick of the Wrist dodges the first driving attack from Hypo as Matt tries to get underneath the front forks, as Mart spins around and comes onto the attack, digging up the wooden arena surface. That can€™t be good for the handling, as Hypo dodges the attack from Flick as easily as flicking his own wrist to take Hypo out of the way of danger.
Mart and Matt turn both machines around so they are facing head-on, as both drivers put on full power; more stuff is kicked up from the arena surface as Mart isn€™t making any friends with the arena repair guys, as Flick of the Wrist dodges to the right, and Hypo dodges to the right as both machines spin around for a repeat as again both robots dodge to the right, as a 3rd attack with the dancing continuing as both robots dodge to the left, Flick of a Wrist is digging a hole with the forks as for a 4th time both robots come charging towards each other, Matt dives to the right as Mart dives to the left as both robots slam head on, the front forks are underneath the front wedge of Hypo and at once Mart raises the forks up as well as putting on full power, driving Hypo towards the arena wall, the wheels of Hypo are not getting any grip so Matt can drive away from danger as there is an enormous crash as Flick of the Wrist places Hypo into the fence. Hypo goes up onto its rear end with the force of the ram.
Matt fires the flipper, as he knocks himself off the rear end, but straight onto Flick of the Wrist, which was waiting, as Hypo lands the forks lift, lifting the rear wheels of Hypo off the ground, which are spinning tossing up small pieces of arena, as Mart drives slowly towards the pit release button, which is a shock as the audience members were calling for a ram, ram, ram, but as the pit goes down those audience members are shouting out pit, pit, ram & pit, as Mart spins around, the flipper fires on Hypo as Matt tries to knock Hypo off the front forks, so it can get some grip, but to no success, as Flick of the Wrist lines up with the pit and drives towards it, lowering the front forks over the pit edge as Hypo is hanging as gravity takes over and pulls Hypo down, Matt firing the flipper in the attempt to do something as Hypo crashes onto the soft tyres of the pit.
Cease
Flick of the Wrist took control once under Hypo where it slowly pitted the flipping wedge to set itself up for the final, as the series 1 champion is into the final.
Next time, a video of the arena repair guys repairing the arena surface ready for May Tracks have you against Flyte, in the battle of the flippers.
Aww...
The Killer Toad Tournament
Semi Final 2
The May Tracks Have You (1) vs. Flyte
Which of these 2 flipper robots, whom has managed to end every fight with a flick of the flipper over the fence, will face Flick of the Wrist in the final? So far May Tracks has put out Shiny Happy People, Eternia and Death Threat, where Flyte has put out Autosim, Turbo Tails before doing the double over Paul with Nitro-Gene.
In terms of the stats, May Tracks has the speed advantage and traction advantage, although Flyte has the power advantage and the advantage that if it€™s flipped it can run around upside down, where May Tracks will have to self-right, which could be it€™s downfall, both are wearing some skirts to give some protection against each other€™s co2 powered flipper weapons.

And as in the first semi final, both robots are away, and are heading towards each other, before suddenly both pull away from avoiding a head-on smash, as both spin around as Flyte drives away from May Tracks. Frank gives chase as Aaron spins Flyte around out of the way of danger from the tracked monster, as Frank turns his machine on the spot and gives chase for Flyte again.
Once more Flyte dives out of the way of May Tracks, those super torsion-sprung skirts so far not causing any problems, but Frank has seen the small gap on the corner where he could his wedge under the small machine, as Flyte spins around and manages to fool May Tracks into dodging the wrong way as Aaron€™s machine slams into the side skirts of May Tracks, as the skirts do their job as Flyte goes up the skirts instead of underneath then.
Aaron quickly makes a redraw as May Tracks turns and gives chase, Flyte spins around out of the way, but Frank makes some adjustments to the track speeds as he turns in a lovely arc heading towards Flyte, as Aaron tries to dive out of the way, but he is too slow as May Tracks slams into the front end and underneath the front wedge at an angle. Frank wastes no time and fires the flipper, sending Flyte towards the arena wall, but it lands short, but upside down, as May Tracks jumps back onto Flyte.
Flyte spins around getting out of the way from May Tracks, running upside down, so the skirts don€™t work and the front is exposed as Frank is trying to keep on top of Aaron€™s machine to prevent it from having enough space to self-right in safety. Flyte dodges out of the way of May Tracks, as Frank puts on full power and catches up with Flyte causing Flyte to dive out of the way, as May Tracks gives chase, chasing Flyte into one of the corners. Aaron tries to get out of the way of Frank€™s trap, as he tries to spin to one side, but May Tracks is using the extra speed to keep on top of Flyte, as Aaron spins around and puts on full power.
Both machines slam head-on as Flyte is up onto the wedge of May Tracks as the wheels spin on the smooth painted finish of May Tracks, the spike strip is up as the wheels spin on Flyte as it tries to get up and over the wedge as Frank fires the flipper, sending Flyte onto a flight and over the arena fence, crashing down onto the camera tracks.
Cease
Flyte tries to get up and over May Tracks, but lacked the traction to get up the wedge, as Frank places his 4th robot over the fence (excluding the robots he put over the fence when the plot-hole opened.
Therefore the 3rd place playoff looks like this:
Hypertension vs. Flyte
And the final therefore looks like:
The May Tracks Have You vs. Flick of the Wrist, as Frank looks to do something which hasn€™t been done in vapourbot land for a while (since MDU in VFT3&4, I think) and manage to successful defend his title.
JOEY MCCONNELL - PROVIDING FOR ALL YOUR INACCURATE PREDICTION NEEDS SINCE WHENEVER IT WAS:
Hypertension vs. Flyte
Mattys machine to get the OOTA here.
THE MAY TRACKS HAS YOU vs. FLICK OF THE WRIST
Tricky one here. FotW can probably prevent TMTHY from getting under it, but TMTHW will be able to maneuver around the sides...
If it goes to a judges, itll go to Flick Of The Wrist. If it doesnt, May Tracks will OOTA Flick...Ill say May Tracks, but Im probably wrong.
Good fights, Mr. Dave
Flyte to get 3rd place, and May Tracks to defend its title.
Aim for the side and try to do some tyre shredding, pretty sure with his top speed Ill be easier to control.
Good luck Martijn, but I do owe you payback for C & B:wink:
The Killer Toad Tournament
The Third Attempt at the Third Place Playoff.
The 3rd attempt because I didn€™t like the first 2 attempts at writing this epic battle between 2 of the most deadly flippers around
Hypertension mk3 vs. Flyte
Matt€™s Hypertension was placed into the pit in the last fight against Flick of the Wrist, where Flyte when on a flight out of the arena via May Tracks, so which robot will collect the bronze medal.
Comparing the stats, both are made from Hardox, both have flippers, Flyte has 4WD, where Hypertension has 2WD, Flyte can run upside down, Hypertension can€™t, speed wise Hypertension has a 2.6 mph advantage, where Flyte has skirts against Hypertension€™s lack of skirts.
Matt is in the 1st control booth, and Aaron is in the 2nd control booth, as they await as their machines are pulled into the arena, battered and in need of repairs, and that is just the trolleys, the arena is in a bad shape as well. Both machines are unloaded and activated, as the battle begins

Both machines are not hanging around, as both machine drivers put the controller into full forward drive, the front wedge of Hypo lifts under acceleration, as Flyte remains planted to the ground, as Flyte moves in as both robots smash head-on, without any type of dodge, as Flyte slips underneath Hypertension and fires the flipper sending Hypertension onto it€™s back.
There is an impression that Matt can€™t be bothered with the 3rd place playoff, as he self-rights, right onto Flyte, where Aaron starts to drive Hypertension towards the arena wall, before firing the flipper sending Hypertension over the arena fence, smashing down onto the camera tracks.
Cease
In a rather quick match, Flyte gets the 3rd place medal, as both drivers get pulled into an interview with Stephen.
Stephen: Matt, what happened?
Matt: He got under and flipped me over, by that time I knew it was worthless trying to fight back, as he got me on my back and there wasn€™t a lot I could do about it.
Stephen: What was all that focus off going head-on right at the start
Matt: It€™s only a 3rd place playoff, nothing worth fighting for.
Stephen: Well have a good evening
Matt: I will try
Stephen: Aaron, could you believe your luck
Aaron: Well, we had a deal, go head to head at the start and whoever came out best would go on to win
Stephen: Not really a proper fight
Aaron: nothing really worth fighting it out for.
Stephen: well have a good evening
Aaron: I will, where is the nearest pub?
Stephen: Go out of the main gate, and turn right, 100 metres down the road is the pub.
Aaron: Cheers
So the next time it is the big one, series 1 champion against the series 2 champion, both machines are defending a 7-0 win-lose rate, including the 2 warm-up events. As it is:
May Tracks Have You (1) vs. Flick of the Wrist.
Itll be a close final, if May Tracks can get the spikes into play Frank has won it, if Flick can get around the side and lift it could be all over.
Its a close, but I think Frank has the edge due to better weaponry.
