Replacing zeobot base

hi all

with having new armour made i think it would be sensible to change the base of psycho fling. at the moment it is a zeobot one with holes all over and i believe it to be 6mm. my plan is to change that to 4mm making it 800g lighter

i am doing this because the zeobot wheel holes are casing alot of compromise and parts of the base un useable

so im just checking if it will be strong enough?

I plan to use 4mm in DB5 base at some point so yes it will be strong enough.

i was just thinking would instead of 4mm aluminium if i went for 2mm steel would this be strong enough? it comes out at the same weight as the original 6mm sheet

just thought i might be able to get it easier
where are you getting your aluminium from ed?

Depends what type I get, I usually buy thinner stuff from Technobots.

i use the 4mm ali from technobots in hornet 2. Great stuff to work with and very strong.
