I had an email this morning asking how strict the weight limits for robots are. Due to a spam filter blocking the email, here is the reply:

The weight limits as written are exactly that, a limit. For featherweights this means 13.6Kgs including all consumables and not more. If robots are overweight then they risk disqualification. Most event organisers will allow you to run a little overweight particularly in whiteboard fights until you can lose the extra weight. I wouldnt expect you to have a problem although you would be best to check with the event organiser prior to the event.
