First of all, on behalf of all the teams, I would like to send our heartfelt condolences to John and family on their sad loss.

I think you will agree that it was a good event, yes, there were some problems and delays but they were sorted and lessons were learned. Maidstone should be quite something!

I need to address a small problem before it becomes serious and someone ends up getting hurt.
I mentioned it to the featherweight teams at the event, but I want to bring it to the attention of all.
At the end of a fight when cease is called there has been an increasing problem with one or two robots who decide there is further business that needs to be conducted!
The whole point of cease is to denote the END of a fight and give clearence for the arena marshal to enter the arena to start the disarming process. I have no problem with robots doing their victory spins or being driven across the arena to the doors to be disarmed, but further combat type contact between robots WILL NOT be allowed.

Therefore starting at Maidstone if any robots are seen to be going at it after cease has been called, they WILL be disqualified and any points or place in any final that were gained during the fight will be lost!

Good luck to all the teams in the finals at Maidstone, I understand that a complete list will be published shortly.
