I dont think so - though i will point out to people, that i think camping spaces are limited on the RAF site and will be givin pref to the first 24 HWs signed up i beleive. Not saying there is a problem at the moment, i dont know to be honest, not my area, it will be johns job to sort out the sign ups and numbers etc when he is back in the UK from an educationl project in the far east. But just to maybe pre warn people thats all.

Ok Guys so I have processed the applications and I can now give you some more information.

This years UK Championships has been as popular as ever with over 30 heavyweight entries taking part.

The Heavy Weight Competition will now include 30 robots, what was going to be a 24 robot competition has now been extended, I€™m sure you will agree that we wouldn€™t want to send anyone away. I hope that people who have entered are confident that they are attending !!!

So we now have 10 pods of 3 robots, and each pod will include 1 seed.

The seeds have been taken from the 2007 pod winners / final results, and they are....

    1. Big Nipper
    2. THZ
    3. Iron Awe 5
    4. Dantomkia
    5. Beast
    6. Apocalypse
    7. Ripper Evo
    8. Tiberious
    9. Kan Opener
    10. Envy

We hope to run an annihilator on the Sunday which will be made up of 6 robots from the first round, plus fitting in as many white boards as required.

The confirmed entry list is as follows.

    Heavy Weights

Pit space is going to be extremely tight, and as this is the Heavy Weight Championships, teams in the main competition may not have a separate table for your feathers, you will have to squash up as best as possible. We are looking to get more space.

The competition draw will be done this Saturday night, and posted ASAP. We have a limit set by the RAF of 90 people, and 30 camping pitches, we are now FULL.

There will be a lot more info to follow.
