Good morning Alex R.
The forum is recommending going the cheap 9.6v route.
But here is a link to a drill that meets your specs and is a decent brand...NO BATTERY.

Alex ...Im not sure if the Makita is suitable.
DONT BUY IT .
I need to investigate the gearbox type.
Woody
The gearbox is slightly different to the cheaper cordless drills...but suitable if you wish to go the Makita route.

Thanks for the warning. I actually have a set of 7 cm wheels (my Grandfather came down today), and we have decided on 2 drills, made four wheel drive by timing belts.
Thanks,
Alex
i think your making it more difficult with timing belts and drill motors
can you tell me how you plan to do it?
alex
Ask the people at my grandfathers company and follow their instuructions very carefully. Im not kidding. Maybe do some research.
Any advice would be helpful though.
Alex
Sorry to bump an older thread
Looking to buy some drill motors for my first bot. Was just wondering if people had any experience with any of the following drills and to see if any of them worth getting

I know argos do the challenge line of drills (they did have a cheap 14.4v drill but seemed to have stopped doing it now) but have been looking around to get as much power for as little and as simple as possible
Any help on the matter would be gratefully receieved
Chris
ps. did try posting them as hyperlinks but kept getting The formatting code newurl requires 2 argument(s); you provided only 1 argument(s).
Is it going to be a RamBot? And what size wheels are you going to be using?
