Having problems with new transmitter, i have bound it to the reciever, what im trying to do is have it so the right stick will operate all four wheels forwards and backwards, and the left stick will control left and right. i will also have to reverse one side of the motors, otherwise i can see one running forward and the other back. its in my featherweight which runs on 2 electronize to 4 motors. The first problem im having is when i press forwards or backwards the motors start of by almost stalling then turn slowly for 3-5 seconds, and then they go to their full speed, and will stay their until i let go of the stick.
my next problem will be how to set the controls up 2 how i want it. Instructions may aswell be chinese for me

Jeez trust you to be awkward!
I think this is the way to do it....

Plug your controllers into the receiver ( one in each ) rudder and elevator
Pick the V tail option on the transmitter.

TO ACTIVATE V-TAIL (VTL) MIXING
1. In System Setup mode, press the SCROLL button until €œMIX WNG€ appears on the screen.
2. Press the CHANNEL button once to access the V-Tail Mixing screen.
3. Next press either the INCREASE or DECREASE buttons once to activate V-Tail Mixing.

Your motor slow start speed problems sound battery related ....possibly voltage sag due to high initial current draw.
Could you nick a battery from one of your heavies ...add a temp lash up ..and just see if that cures your prob?

Edit ...Do you have the same prob with both sets of batts ....the old 7.2v and the new 8.4v ones?

cheers woody, worked spot on, i think the batteries are flat as they are 8.4v, and when i plugged them into the constellation to charge them it read 8.8v. i didnt realise how quick these go flat i only charged them a few days ago and hadnt used them before, they are new batteries (nimh 3300mah,7 cell) so hoping im charging them correctly now. i have just been slowly charging and discharging them,

will try the old 7.2v after these have charged to see if i still had the problem, got till saturday to sort the problem out which is one good thing i spose

Itll take forever @ 0.1 amp .....like 36 hours!

Seeing as how this Ebay purchase is giving cause for concern ..Id be inclined to bite the bullet and buy a new charger.

NiMh cells if not charged regularly will go flat in storage. I always charge my nimh cells a day in advance on slow charge, and during the event on 1C fast charge.

Nicads dont have this problem (or at least a lot less).

sorry i meant 0.3 amp, to start with when they were new, now i tend to charge them on auto, which i think takes about 45mins, then when i have time i charge them at 0.3, i have purchased a second constellation charger which is new, to be sure i dont have a duff. but i think its ok now.

are nicads any better than nimhs?

Not really, each has its own advantages and disadvantages. Id be inclined to say high performance Ni-Mh cells are the better of the two on most fronts though.

if i get problems sorted i will see you their. just picked up new charger from post office and this is the plan. i am going to cycle these batteries 5 times, discharging at 2.0amps to 1.2v per cell and charging at 0.3amps,leaving about 10 minutes inbetween charges, should this be enough to sort these batteries do you think?
