Firing mech and reverse

im planning on firing my axe between 24 -36 v the mech i came up with before to fire them will not failsafe as it involves servos and causes sparks and major interference, can anyone suggest somthing cheap ive seen mirco switchs on technobots but do they failsafe. I also though about a speed controller but the cost is to high. Someone also m,entioned solnoids but they look overly complex to fire my weapon motor and reverse it.

so are you using a servo with a wire on that moves and conects by touching the other wire?? would this pass tech check??? use a relay and have a rc switch from technobots to work it

1. Whats your weapon motor
2. You can get RC relay switches that would be up to the job as Kenny has hinted - what relays youd use would depend on the motor (current draw) though

For that motor a relay switcher will be all you need
The Bigger Dual Ended Switch here: http://www.teamdelta.com/products/prod2.htmhttp://www.teamdelta.com/products/prod2.htm would be perfect but you can also use something like this http://www.electronize.co.uk/switchers.htmhttp://www.electronize.co.uk/switchers.htm (the 2 way model) and couple it to larger external relays that can handle the current your motor draws.

just recieved the motor ewan u reciecved the sabertooth yet? royal mail left it out in the rain argh good thing u wrap things like fort knox

was just mocking everything up in cardboard and have little room, was thinking maybe a solonoid as the cheapest thing maybe anyone got experience with them
