Few questions regarding upgrades

prodigy is being completly upgraded for euro fw champs,and hopefully it will show alot of improvment, can anyone help with some questions.

1. buying 2 pro peak constellation chargers, i want a power supply unit capable of using with 2 of these at once, is their any cheaper alternatives than the white box one i see everyone has
2. accidently found a spektrum dx6 at my local model shop in stock!!, but they only have a ar reciever, is the only difference with this to the br is it doesnt have built in failsafes? as i have failsafes in my speedos already anyhow.
3. and finally, using these chargers to charge nimhs, should i charge it on trickle charge and discharge it using the charger loads of times, and keep doing this over and over to get these batteries upto top performance, once this is done am i ok to fast charge them after this for events, they are 7.2v 3700mah.

2. You still cant use that receiver even with external failsafes - as I understand it the AR will continue to transmit a signal that your failsafes will permit. Thats why the BR receiver is a must.
3. Youre OK just giving them one or two cycles when you get them if theyre lacking a bit in voltage but dont do anything more needlessly, you wont increase the performance at all. Try to slow charge the packs when you are though and only fast charge when you have to at events.

Hi Adrian,
Watch the AR reciever, the outputs stay at the last position when it failsafes,so ordinary failsafes dont work, I used one in Lev2, but I used the Throttle channel, ( the one with the failsafe) to swith off an Electronize and kill main battery power.

thanks for that, any ideas where i can buy a br reciever, these controllers i got for £80 brand new as they were missing the servos which i didnt tell them i didnt want anyhow, ewan i will go on your site later, i have emailed you a couple of questions regarding items required so after that i will make a purchase.

i use the 3ch trigger spektrum and with using a mixer the failsafe works on both drive channels

i only went in for some new nimhs, and asked the question if they sold them. they also had some spektrums with a wheel on them, i guess that was a 3 channel, but i cant get used to chose.

decided to order 2, as they worked out at £27 each plus shipping, and its time i started to stock up on spare parts, thanks for that guys.

Hi Adrian. James uses the DX3 (steerwheel spektrum) but it has similar features to the AR receiver regarding failsafes, although really easy to drive with. We sell the BR receivers, and ordering a batch of them shortly. If anyone else is interested in a DX6 or receiver then please let me know as they take between 2-3weeks to order in. Your batteries should be pretty much sorted now youve used them for a weekend. As ewan said, charge them slow at home, around 0.3/0.4A.
