Hello
I am looking at using either PTFE or HDPE for an antweight, i was told that one does not hold a thread but they werent sure which it was. Does anyone have an advie on these plastics, or have any other lighter than polycarbonate alternatives?

PTFE is NO use at all ... forget it.
PTFE= Teflon. Even softer than HDPE.
Both are non treadable
Thanks guys, is there any other lighter than polycarbonate alternatives that can hold a thread?
If Im not misstaken, you should not tap HDPE, but it can work as a selftapping material. Just screw into a tight hole.
