I have the e-station bantam BC8, also a very good charger balancer
That Bantam is a nice one indeed, it looks a bit like this one:

Robbe now also had a 12s balancer out:

Yes, the Mega Power Infinity-960SR looks promising. It will be intersting to see how good a job it makes of balancing.
The Robbe Power Peak Infinity 3 + TOP Equaliser 12S seems to be the same, but over twice the price...

Well, the first (Dutch) test results on the Mega Power infinity and equalizer are in and balancing goes really wel on 12s LiPo, So I have no doubt it will do an equally good job on 12s LiFePo4. As usual the Chineze will stick a customs label claiming a value of $30, so 6 Dutch customers never paid any import taxes on them.
Just seen that robotmarketplace have custom A123 battery packs available. Looks like a much better source compared to tearing dewalt battery packs apart.
I actually have a 960SR and it is a really nice charger for the A123 but the balancer supplied was not the right one so cannot comment on how well it balances yet.
I should add that I also use the Xtrema charger on the A123 for charging. Their balancers are due in any time now so I will be able to compare performance. I do find making up A123 packs more difficult than with NiCds.
I have just tested a 10 cell soldered pack at about 11C and 20C but not over impressed with the performance, maybe I was expecting too much? I have also tried A123 in a racing pack configuration and that has a practical limitation on current before the silver loaded paste starts boiling.
what do you all think of these
