imma add drive to that test frame i made. i need the cheapest radio gear possible with tx and rx + batteries and charger. its going to use servos and microswitches as i want to have as little cash in it as possible, needs to be able to controll drive + flipper so if anybody knows of one drop a message. i dont care if its 40mhz or not it wont be going into combat just need any old 4ch+ radio gear.
the robot test frame with flipper + motors stands me at 8 quid so far![]()
Rain was well gud today. i got the day off work cos the workshop was flooded, it was a day off but didnt give me the chance to work on my bot, leeds ringroad was flooded and load of cars broken down in the water there were loads lads pusing all the cars out of the water. it was above waist hight. my dad and his mate broke down in the water so me and david went over in my dads truck and my dad got in the truck and drove straight through the flood and towed my dads mates car away. suppose its handy having a 4x4 pickup jacked up abit. anyone else get a bit of a flood?
Just a load of sodden roads and cars driving by eager to splash you in Bristol! Oh the joys of living in a rather hilly town.
I was lucky enough to leave yorkshire the day before this all kicked off.
1 bad it about all the rain. i have one of those arc activated mask and it was in a cardboard box on the floor. it got rather wet and i dont think it will be reacting to arcs any time soon so.
in some of these 12v drill motors the ball bearings are stuck in and i cant get them out. how do some of you get those tricky ball bearings out?
Turn the drill upside down and spin the shaft with your hand. Sometimes this is enough to force the ball bearing out of the hole.
If not, use a flat bladed screwdriver (or similar) and crudely wiggle the screwdriver round in the hole with enough force to widen the top of it to a larger diameter than that of the ball bearing. Turn it upside down and the ball bearing should fall out.
If not, resort to casual swearing and throw the drill off a wall![]()
(better still, await the advice of a more sane person on here)
i tryed the 1st way and the 3rd way ill have a go at the 2nd way, what you still doing up at this time? nocturnal?
nope there still stuck![]()
