If you add all of the above to the online cart you can find out! http://www.gimsonrobotics.com/shop_products.htmlhttp://www.gimsonrobotics.com/shop_products.html

At an estimate itd be about £80 to put together a similar set-up including weapon speed controller (assuming youve got the tools to cut the disc and mounts required). Most of the parts I used were recycled from previous projects though.

I should imagine its probably the new swathe of protection for credit/debit cards that my payment gateway is enforcing.

Should be with you on Saturday if Royal Mail does what its meant to do! Thank you for the order.

ehhh ewan i think i might have messed up abit. i undid the 2 screws at the top of the torque limiter and it sprung off now the top just spinns freely without the motor moving what di i do?

anyone with any advice at all?

Unfortunately thats you permanently wrecked your motor...

Nah, just kidding. For the top to spin when the motor spins, theres a part inside the gear casing (the torque ring) which needs pressure applied on it. When the torque limiter was on it, the spring pushed against some ball bearings which in turn applied pressure on to the torque ring. Im guessing youre currently sitting with 16 loose ball bearings now too?

Where those ball bearings went there are eight holes going into the casing. In order to re-appply that pressure, probably the best thing to do is to tap 3-4 of the holes with an M5 tap and insert some small grub screws into those holes. Tighten them down until the shaft stops turning easily, then tighten them a bit more to eliminate any slippage from the torque ring. Once thats done, the shaft should only be able to turn if the motor is turning.

For reference if you dont have any, one option for grub screws is CPC, some of the 5mm deep ones:

ye i noticed the thing looking in the holes and stuck a nail into it and that worked just gotta hope i had it set to the correct torque setting ohh and as for the ball bearings, yeah they went everywhere.

now i just need a decent ram so i can get to work on my 4 bar lifter positioning. then i can do my mock up. pete has got a 40 bore 80 travel ram but i dunno outside width of it. think i could use a smaller ram like 32 bore or somthing and still get well enough power to flip over 12kg and still do it fast. i still need a ram and all the other stuff needed for a flipper weapon like valves switcher and stuff so if anyons got owt just post a msg.

ordered some grub screws, now for the lifter/flipper.
im looking for everything ill need to power my 4 bar lifter/flipper. Pneumatic ram (about 80/100 stroke would do), solenoid valve, switcher. im using a compressor/buffer tank system using a aluminium fizzy drinks container to start with but im still unsure about what pressure im aloud to go with using this method, and the best way to connect my compressor to my tank. i have been told using a tyre valve (schrader valve) and just connecting my compressor onto that just like blowing up a tyre and also i have been told that the tube coming from the compressor will fit into a 8mm push fit and just have a T push fitting in the top of the tank and have my in/outlet on 8mm push fits. whats the best way to go? i will be dropping the compressor and buffer tank method eventually but i dont want to start playing with high pressure stuff just yet.
imma post abut the ram, valve, switcher in wanted section later if nobody checks this post out.

gotta hope i had it set to the correct torque setting

does this have an effect on the working of the motors as drive motors?
