Semi-Final 2
Battle 1
Son of Ripper 5.0 vs. Tengu VII

Son of Ripper 5.0
has come quite a way here, recently defeating Wedge Devolution in Crash & Burn Extreme. In this tournament, he has defeated:
- Chaos 2 (with Die-Ceratops Re-Invertus (6))
- Rammy Mk 3
- Die-Ceratops Re-Invertus (6)

Tengu VII carved a path of destruction since his humiliating defeat at the hands of 14th seed Tempest Evil-er-oution last time. In this tournament, he has defeated:
- Storm 2 (with IDSFA)
- Star 69
- Cacodemon

Another battle of the oldies, but who still has the kick in them to boot the crap out of the other? We shall see!

We start the 2nd of our Semi-Finals off by watching SoR go flying across the arena towards the spot where Tengu is, or was, as Tengu is no longer at that spot but spinning off towards the floor flipper, now fully spun-up and ready to dish out some pain. SoR however keeps track of it with his speed advantage and makes an unavoidable charge into the front of Tengu.
CRASH!
Well! I guess it doesn€™t matter how low your blade is if you hit the wedge directly! SoR only suffers a glancing blow at this as Tengu is sent flying up by the power of his own spinning blades, and right over SoR, who quickly reverses to where the FBS has landed and gives it a good smack with the rear hardox bar.
CRASH!
Hey now, what€™s this? The bar actually hit one of Tengu€™s blades! This really hasn€™t slowed down SoR€™s bar at all, and actually it€™s sent the blades in motion...hmm, Tengu ain€™t moving...and the other blade comes around and gets hit.
CRASH! WHAM!
The other blade gets it just before SoR€™s bar fully connects with the anti-spinner ring, tearing a bit of rubber off of it but being negated instantly as the energy gets sent directly into the ring. Those 3 rapid blows on the blades and ring have all happened in about 1.5 seconds, by the way. Seeing this AJ quickly turns SoR around to wedge the spinner, but finds that Tengu is mobile again, and is away and out of danger, before anything further to its disadvantage can happen. SoR chases it down with the wedge again, and AJ knows his TRUE advantage now: he must strike directly into the path of Tengu€™s blades, like before, so he won€™t suffer a huge hit. Tengu isn€™t really looking that cool right now...is it just me, or is Tengu not spinning at full capacity? Did SoR€™s bar damage the blades? I do believe so - ah, wait, no, Tengu€™s found its power again, as it reaches full speed, so that€™s cool in itself, and it€™s just in time to meet SoR€™s wedge again.
CRASH!!!
OUCH! Definitely not what AJ wanted at all! It€™s a hit on the side of the wedge, and SoR goes sailing across the arena, the hardox bashed in! SoR races back into the action, but finds his quarry away quite quickly, and reaching a dangerous speed again. However, just as quickly, he closes in on Tengu and bashes it with his wedge and that awesome LEM power before it can evade.
CRASH!
Hah! AJ€™s lucky again! Another glancing blow and Tengu is sent flying over SoR, landing with a clatter behind him. AJ quickly turns SoR about and races in with the wedge. Tengu can€™t get away fast enough, and SoR slides under Tengu almost effortlessly, the skirts failing completely, and he€™s taking it to the arena wall! AAAAND...YES!!! HE€™S DONE IT!!! SOR HAS JUST FLIPPED TENGU OVER THE WALL AND OUT!!! It was just over the wall, but it€™s over! And Tengu is upside-down, too. What a very quick end to this one! Alex is flabbergasted, as Tengu lays on its back outside the arena, and turning away, not even righting his robot, walks from the control booth in tatters. And...what€™s this? Tira has smacked the pit release, taking it off. Hey, what€™s the big idea?! AJ gets the picture, and gets away before Taki can scoop him up onto the wedge. It€™s now become a game of €œpit the winner€ for the house robots, but SoR isn€™t going to be gutted that easily. Oh! HAHAHA! SoR scooped Tira onto the wedge and threw both of them down the pit! Taki and The Watcher spin around in slight confusion, as AJ advances into the tournament further, and poor Alex is now out indefinitely for this tournament.

CEASE!

Tengu VII; given judgement, it was dealt the death sentence.
Son of Ripper 5.0 advances to the next round!!!

The rim of Tempest begins its upward climb to 2000rpm, and danger looms on the horizon, in the form of Aquarius! Tempest scurries backwards, but Aquarius is too quick. Quicker than Tempest€™s drive speed, that is, but not quicker than that rim!
CRASH!!!
Surprise, surprise! Aquarius pulled off a wheelie, and got schmacked by the teeth of Tempest! It spins away, Tempest doing the same, but really there seems to be no damage done to it, so Aquarius comes back in on the attack. Tempest moves away, and barely avoids by riding diagonally up and over Aquarius€™ wedge and away, as the latter barges in a bit too quickly, nearly greeting the wall with his snout. Tempest attempts a rear assault now, spinning up to speed, but Aquarius spins around...nearly off-centre, but finally lines Tempest up. Tempest goes the side, just as Aquarius starts to go forward, and -
CRASH!!!
A nice hit to the side there, but it€™s still pretty nil, as both bots go for another ride across the floor, Aquarius actually hitting the angle grinder but no damage there. Also undamaged remains the spot where Tempest just struck him, and that€™s not looking for Tempest. Frank€™s eyes narrow but he keeps his game face as Tempest spins up again, coming close to Aquarius but not too close. Aquarius looks a little too jumpy, and suddenly drives forward thinking to catch Frank off-guard but nope, Frank sees it coming and easily manoeuvres Tempest away from the charge, smacking directly into the side!
CRASH!!!
BAM! What a hit! Loads of sparks, and Aquarius is slightly jolted this time, as Tempest launches himself away into the pit release button, opening the pit. This looks like a relief for Tony, and Aquarius drives into Tempest, hoping to stop the spinner from...spinning! Tempest however gets another dodge, just barely though, but Aquarius turns again and Tempest was a bit too eager and rode right onto the wedge! FLIP! WHOA-HO! A flying Frisbee? Frank once again sees one of his bot fly high up into the air, courtesy of Aquarius€™ powerful flipping arm, and comes crashing down onto the arena floor...STILL SPINNING! The wonders of gyroscopic forces, eh? Tony isn€™t letting Tempest off the...hook (hehe ) yet, and drives into Tempest without warning. No wheelies this time!
CRASH!!!
BUT STILL, THERE IS A HIT! Ha! The flipper slot of Aquarius got nailed, how about that! Tempest is sent away again, before that flipper can come into play, and Aquarius immediately chases him down again...to find Tempest gone! Slow down there, Aquarius, you€™re missing things! In fact, he€™s just missed something important: his opponent!
CRASH!!!
The same side as last time takes the hit...AND THE PANEL IS OFF!!! It doesn€™t get thrown away, but simply comes off and lays there beside Aquarius, who is now horribly exposed from the side! Tempest backs off to spin up more, but Aquarius still seems to be doing fine...and what do you know, he€™s gotten under Tempest! Tempest is actually spinning the rim too, on the wedge! AND...
CRASH!!!
HA, NO WAY!!! Aquarius tosses, and Tempest€™s spinning rim hits THE ARENA RAILING! This sends Tempest flying back across the arena and right near the pit, in a huge shocker for the audience, and even more so for both Frank and Tony. Frank is the first to come back to reality and Tempest moves a significant distance from the hole of doom. Aquarius turns away from the arena wall, and Tony is still in major disbelief, thinking he had won this. Unfortunately, he hasn€™t yet, and while he€™s not moving, while Tempest closes in fully charged, he ain€™t gonna! Aquarius drives right towards Tempest, but the ring spinner avoids the charge, as Aquarius flies by, giving Tempest another shot at a K.O. He hurriedly buries the spinning hooks into Aquarius€™ backside.
WHAP!!!
Ooh, did I see what I thought I saw? I think I did, and you€™d probably agree, as rubber litters the arena right from where Tempest just struck Aquarius€™ left tire, right from behind! Say good-bye to your left hand drive, and left with only the option of moving in circles, I believe that Aquarius has had it now. The Watcher is coming over, checking things out. FLIP! HEY! Aquarius just wheeled around, slid under the ref and flipped him! Tempest...joins in!
CRASH!!!
ACK! That was the lifting arm, you ingrate! And it doesn€™t appear to be working anymore! You know what that means...The Watcher can€™t self-right now! Asterix and Obelix are now on Tempest€™s case, but FLIP! Aquarius catches Asterix as he goes by and tosses him...against the wall! Unfortunately for him, it wasn€™t a stacking. Asterix whips around and goes for Aquarius instead...but drives up the front wedge and FLIP! gets launched! Tempest meanwhile is dodging hammer blows (BANG!) from Obelix, and is quite eager to finish Aquarius off. He goes for Aquarius immediately, but Tony eyes Tempest approaching and despite the wheel wound manoeuvres around to face him...leaving his rear wide open for Asterix! WHAM!
CRASH!!!
Asterix drives Aquarius right into Tempest, who gives the lifting arm a giant blow and sends Tony€™s wedge across the arena in a dizzy spell! Tempest is also launched himself and comes to rest on the floor flipper...WHICH LAUNCHES HIM! No ref, no rules! Ha ha! Tempest thankfully is invertible and goes off towards Aquarius is. Tony€™s bot is still mobile, on one side that is, but it€™s right on the edge of the pit, and any moment now - OOOOHHHH!!! Tempest nearly got wedged and put into the pit! An upset attempt, failed at the last second, and Tempest is going to make him pay for that! ...not really. It€™s Asterix who comes in from behind!
CRASH!!!
Tempest is smashed and barrels into Aquarius, knocking the pair of them into the pit. Aquarius falls in with Tempest on top of him, but Asterix...ain€™t moving either. Obelix, it seems, is the sole survivor of this match.

CEASE!

Aquarius drowns in a raging tropical storm.
Tempest Evil-er-oution (14) advances to the next round!!!
