Round 2 Battle 1
Turbulence vs. ForcePower 5.0
Turbulence took out Megabyte, sending the spinner into a CPZ where Double Whamlet destroyed it.
ForcePower 5.0 enjoyed a €œbye€Â, as 10th seed ArchAngel of the Abyss met his doom in the pit, courtesy of Flank Attack: DT.

ForcePower is quicker off the mark and flies towards Turbulence, but the realie jolts slightly, aiming for the left front corner of ForcePower. Andy jams the brakes and tries to point ForcePower towards Turbulence, but overshoots it due to the poor control, exposing the right front corner. Turbulence flies in, slides €˜neath, and with an almighty FLIP, ForcePower finds itself working upside-down! This of course is no problem for the rammer, but Turbulence has just scored itself points, so ForcePower needs to get back in the game, but Turbulence isn€™t giving him room to breathe, and before ForcePower can recover the Roaming Robots champion is under the same spot. FLIP! ForcePower is launched again, and goes over, this time right side up! ForcePower backs off to try and regroup, as Turbulence aggressively approaches the rambot. ForcePower hurtles towards the realie and they meet...and it€™s ForcePower in control now! Turbulence is getting thrown back at shocking speeds, and WHAM! Right into the wall! Unfortunately, this bumps ForcePower right onto Turbulence€™s wedge! And...FLIP! Turbulence responds accordingly with another savage flick of the flipper, sending ForcePower sprawling across the arena floor, again inverted. ForcePower turns, but way too fast, exposing the right side completely, as Turbulence goes for it...and gets it! FLIP! Successful skirt penetration means a 100% chance of flipperation, and that causes ForcePower to go flying through the air again, landing back on its belly and really agitated. Turbulence doesn€™t seem to be letting up at all, and Andy seems to realize this because ForcePower is now backing away towards the pit release button...BANG. Pit opened - WHOA! Turbulence almost netted himself a ticket to the black hole of doom there! Backing away, he spies his adversary snaking around the pit and turning to face him...and has a go at ForcePower€™s side. ForcePower turns slightly, and this time it is nicely timed: they are face-to-face, and ForcePower guns the motors again! Turbulence gives it the old college try and smacks into the front of ForcePower...right onto the wedge! And ForcePower€™s delivering him TO...WHAM! The wall again! Devastating crash, as Turbulence bounces away, inverted! FLIP! Turbulence rights itself but it€™s not over yet, as ForcePower attacks again with heightened ferocity! Turbulence backs off and ForcePower€™s just made itself vulnerable, leaving its side open to assault! Again Frank takes advantage: FLIP! Over goes ForcePower yet AGAIN. ForcePower runs away, quite keen on setting up another attack, but Turbulence is at him again in no time! BANG. They collide head-on...and Turbulence penetrates the front wedge of ForcePower! FLIP! ForcePower goes onto its belly again, but Turbulence comes in again...and tries to push it? BAD IDEA! ForcePower backs into the flipper, whose weapon is wide open, and steers it towards the wall opposite! Being smushed into paste against the wall doesn€™t sound quite appetizing, and so Frank spins Turbulence off the back of ForcePower, sending the rammer flying into the wall rear-first! WHAM! Turbulence flies in to seize the opportunity! FLIP! ForcePower topples onto its back for the fourth time this fight. ForcePower backs into Turbulence to try and catch the flipper ram again, but Turbulence spins away again, smacking the left side skirt with the flipper. ForcePower guns the motors again and veers down on Turbulence, who meets the charge again head-on, and it€™s ForcePower who gets under this time, and actually toppling Turbulence on the wedge! Quickly ForcePower turns to the wall opposite, but it turns too harshly, sending Turb flying off the back and onto its own back. FLIP! Turbulence again self-rights, but a rather weak self-right at that, and it seems to be running out of flips. ForcePower hurriedly buries its wedge in, and catches Turbulence, who spins away, catches the right side skirt and slips under it. FLIP! Ooh, still some nice power in that flipper yet, as ForcePower goes back onto its belly. Turbulence shoves itself into ForcePower, the flipper lowered again, but does not flip. Instead, he starts pushing ForcePower towards the flame pit! ForcePower tries to reverse off the wedge, but the wheels are spinning...in mid-air! He€™s going nowhere! FWOOM. A lick of flame and now ForcePower is on the flame pit, roasting. FLIP! Another toss by Turbulence and ForcePower finds itself inverted for about the fifth time this match, and Andy€™s frustration grows. Turbulence heads for the left side skirt again but this time is unable to get under it and backs off, but ForcePower turns to him and gives him a weak push...is something wrong with its drivetrain?
10...9...8...7...
Turbulence rams ForcePower€™s front wedge; it€™s another deadlock, and ForcePower is very slowly pushing Turbulence backwards.
6...5...4...
Turbulence gives a slight lift of the flipper, and it looks they€™ve run out of flips; this does raise ForcePower up a little, but he comes crashing down again.
3...2...1...
ForcePower tackles Turbulence weakly, and mushes it into the arena wall. Oof.

Flank Attack is quick off the mark, straight away from Ha-ka, mainly trying to avoid the axe as much as possible. Ha-ka goes for broke, charging straight into the right side claw, but Flank Attack spins around and turns Ha-ka off-course, the axe barely missing. WHACK. Nice hole in the arena floor, but you€™re paying for it.Flank Attack€™s got him in the jaws now, and bores forward, scooping him up in the plow, and squeezing in! Normally due to the wedges at the front and rear this would be quite ineffective, but since the side of Ha-ka is pinned under Flank Attack€™s plow, it€™s QUITE effective, and it is becoming apparent now as holes start to appear in Ha-ka€™s Aluminium Boron Carbide armour! Flank Attack drives around, quite happy with his prize, and Ha-ka flings the axe down repeatedly in panic, but it€™s no good! Evidently wishing to finish this battle off as quick as possible, Flank Attack reverses towards the pit release - OH! Look at this! Ha-ka has...somehow...snagged the floor flipper lining with the axe, and it€™s stuck! Flank Attack pulls...and pulls...and pulls...and to the grief of Matty Fowler the axe is loose and Flank Attack backs all the way into the pit release button...which I€™m sure you all know what it does by now. Alex also knows what to do now, and Matt is unable to prevent it: the dreaded pitting! Flank Attack stops just on the edge of the pit and opens the jaws...and any moment now, BOOM! Ha-ka is down the drain.
