no no all bots built should be heaveys 100kg +2kg of gas
as most feathers carry only a.6kg bottle
i would say 12.6 is ok
NOW WHATS THIS GOT TO DO WITH FAILSAFES
ps beauty has been 10.4 with gas but the floor breaks
Got any photos of Cyberon Andy?
What have i started!!....good job i didnt ask a contraversial question....Just got back from the pub thought it a good idea to completly strip down my bot ready for tommorows surgery.A trip to metal micky to re make my side armour and make a new fail safe hatch, followed by a trip to the dentist [my back room ] to have some cavitys drilled to help lose weight.i also picked up some nylon mini wheels to replace my heavy steel castors.from johns advice im aiming for just under 12.2 kg..... i will have it re assembled midd sunday,so hopefully take a picture and mail it for your comments! looking forward to meeting you all at wigan....ps.will i be ok using my 2.4g dx6? i think its now legal although im not sure what the fra says.
DX6 is legal, Id even recommend it.
pop the robot pic up on your profile so we can all see it andrew....
thats a lot of legomen![]()
just finished putting my bot back together,..closed my eyes and crossed my fingers....12.18kg!that is without the removable link.... do you think i will be accepted at wigan at this weight?hope so as i am running out of places to drill holes!!going for a walk in the lakes tomorow,so i will post a picture
when i get back.hope you like it,considering its my first attempt.
I think the rules say that safety devices are not counted in the weight, so you might be ok![]()
i have a 5kg safety teather holding my axe head on.... it just so happens its all that holds the axe head on though, so its more of an axe shaft, but I think it counts as a safety device?
Also, my sharp edge covers are 3mm stainless steel....
