Failsafe indicator

Hi everyone....Im hoping to run my new robot, Cyberon, at Wigan ( that is if I can lose 600g !). Apart from my weight problem which I am sure I can fix with a suitably sized drill, I have one or two questions I am unsure about.
1. Section 4.3 tell me that I need a failsafe indicator, can this be an LED connected directly off the receiver so that it indicates when the receiver is powered up ? I have already fitted a second removable link to remove power to the receiver.
2. Section 6.1.14 talks about an undervoltage cut-out, I havent got one of these....do I need one ? If so, where do I get it ?
Any advice would be appreciated, I would hate to get there and not be able to fight.

Fail safe indicator(4.3) is purely optional and not a requirement. (In short, ignore!)

The under voltage device (6.1.14) is only reqiured if you are using Lithium based batteries. Not required for NiCad or Nimh batteries.

Thanks Geoff, this saves me some time ! Just been out to buy a fishermans weigh scale....12.6kg. Now, where did I put that drill ?!

If we are counting calories John, its actually 12.24KG. And in the past I have used the extra 40g.

Thanks john,that means less holes.if i lose my steel front roller bearings i would save 500g i have two on the bottom and one on top [for when you flip me].ive been thinking about some kind of nylon strip to slide on,dont want to start changing things but if it saves weight ill sleep on it!

Jonno as my witness - KX last week came out at 12kg dead on. And Geoff Smith can also confirm that KR3 came out at 12kg. But impressed with Leos WITH GAS at 11.55kg. All Robots WITH GAS should be 12kg or (100kg Heavys). Lets open this can of worms. LOL!!

I had to strip down Hannibalito for the XFM Halloween event to get it in the limit the mask on. It registered 12.0kg dead on at XFM last year.
