there have been interesting conversations about LEMs and sidewinders. It is possible, the most obvious solution being an inducter on the motor to get rid of that super low inductance. we have discussed software modification to speed up current limiter response. There is also the option of switching the sidewinder to Cobra mode, which combines both sides of the controller to offer 160amps continuous 300 peak.
