    ROUND 5
    Maedgul VS PROFESSOR VENGEANCE

Ahh, that most classic of conflicts - fantasy versus science fiction. Lets get stuck in!
The game plan here will be to summon an army of Star Wars and Star Trek fans to the field (Ill spread some rumours about Mark Hamill and William Shatner fighting in the tourney or something :wink. The second they see a Lord of the Rings fancharacter, they will immediately distract him for me with their incessant arguing over which franchise is better. While Maedguls busy trying to obliterate them, the Prof will charge in and try slicing him up with the cane on Lightsabre Mode.

Mortals and immortals, I bring unto thee the round that is the fifth!

    Professor Vengeance vs. Maedgul

    No house fighters.

From a dark, deserted wasteland, conceived by hatred and corruption, a lone figure strides. His grimy mane of dark hair clumps behind his dark neck and shoulder armour. His face is smeared with dried Orc blood, and a single red claw print is on his face. At his side his carries a giant scimitar. It is Maedgul. Darkness shrouds around him, pulsing unpleasantly, and almost unparalleled power is veiled behind his darkness. He halts, and waits. Several hundreds of fans of Star Wars and Star Trek come to shout at him but he simply turns his ugly head and glares at him, causing them to drop to the ground, screaming in agony as pain unimagineable courses through their bodies. Maedgul turns his attention back to an approaching being.
From the other side, another lone figure comes forth. His cape swirls dramatically around him, and his sinister face is battle-scarred. In his hand his carries a cane embued with magical properties, the might of which is a cold terror to all else who oppose him. Professor Vengeance had come. He stops about 25 feet in front of his adversary, who gives not the slightest sign of surprise or appraise. They stare at each other, each working to cow the other. When Vengeance releases that this doesnt work, he suddenly whirls his cane in the air, and from the tip bursts an extraordinary beam of emerald light. Maedgul still makes no sign of disquiet. The beam light fades until it becomes like a lightsabre in Vengeances hand. Maedgul acts, unsheathing his scimitar from his belt. Dramatic fantasy music can be heard (thanks to my special effects team) as they once again attempt to stare the other down. Again unsuccessful, Vengeance strikes. Like a blur he shoots around the space and impacts Maedgul hard on the neck. However Maedgul instinctively parries this with an upward strike and throws the stroke over his shoulder. Then he thrusts his knee right into Vengeances stomach. Such force is extricated from the knee that Vengeance is blown into the air and comes down hard from 25 feet in the air., but not before Maedgul blasts forward, a dark streak of malice, and forces his shoulder into Vengeances face. Vengeance blocks it with his own arm but the force causes it to buckle and Vengeance is smashed to the ground. Luckily Vengeance had pumped himself up before the match so his arm is relatively fine now, but Maedgul raises his scimitar and stabs downwards. Vengeance rolls aside and kicks Maedgul in the chest. Maedgul is thrown backwards but rolls back onto his feet, and just in time to see Vengeance flying like a cat at his head, the Uber-cane inches from his face. Suddenly, Maedgul roars and emits a burst of evil energy. The cane is repelled and Vengeance is blasted backwards, and Maedgul leaps forward and channeling his own energy into his blade slams down the weapon into the ground. Unfortunately for Maedgul this wasted tons of energy and Vengeance backflips over the resulting tremor and lands on his feet. He then produces a phial of blue liquid, and drains it. Maedgul, panting, takes out his crossbow and aims it at Vengeance. However Vengeance is too quick, and with a thrust of his lightsabre cane, skewers the Uruk-Hai through the chest. Maedgul howls in pain, and suddenly explodes into fragments of ash, sending Vengeance backwards upon the floor. As Vengeance struggles to his feet, he hears four dark words...

    A stingray vs. Ginza

    No house fighters.

The gargantuan beast formally known as Ginza towers over the slightly quivering stingray in his little tank. To say that Ginza has the advantage would be not untrue, but Ginza, startlingly, seems to be thinking over his strategy to take the stingray down instead of mindlessly bringing his almighty foot down on the tank, smashing it and pulping the stingray in the process for a quick win. Perhaps his apprehension is towards the tail of the stingray, which as we all know is very potent and can kill a man, as seen with poor Steve Irwin. Of course, there is little chance that the sting may not even tickle the heel of the reptile, but Ginza is not about to take that chance. He snatches up the tank from the ground; the claws penetrate the glass and water pours from the stingrays broken lair. The stingray whips from the mess, ready to pierce the palm of Ginza, but Ginza steps out of the way and the aquamarine creature plops to the ground. Ginza grabs a random object and prepares to pound the fallen stingray with it, but suddenly hes tapped on the shoulder. Whos big enough to do that, Ginza thinks, as he turns around and runs right into Godzillas fist. It seemed that Ginza stole one of Godzillas eggs and was intending to make breakfast for his own kids. Ginza falls backwards...right onto the stingray, who isnt able to go anywhere and the thousand tonne beast collapses onto the stingray like a fallen tower. Godzilla snorts, kicks Ginzas prone figure for good measure, and stomps away.

    Diotoir vs. The Fighting Wireframes

    No house fighters.

The Diotoir boys get ready to kick some wireframe ass and chew gum...and it seems theyre all out of gum. The Wireframes swarm the rather furry robot as it tilts around and wondering whom it should rush at first. As read in the Super Smash Bros. Melee Trophy Guide, the Wireframes are rather weak and subpar, but they are overwhelming in great numbers. However Diotoir has beaten the likes of Tornado, so theyre not worried. GO! says the announcer, whos randomly blown to bits by Strong Bad, and Diotoir goes on the warpath. Only 5 Wireframes come out at a time, so Diotoir has some breathing room. He charges forward and barrels into all the Wireframes, scattering them and throws them off the stage. 5 more come. Diotoir repeats the process. The Wireframes are really stupid, and since Master Hand didnt give them their daily fill of No Doze, theyre not able to jump. The Diotoir boys are completely smug; theyve not been this way for ages...or have they? Well find out in the pits maybe; thats for another story. Theres a twisty twirl for the Irish fighter bot as two of the Wireframes move in for a roundhouse and end up hitting each other. Master Hand watching from the stands makes an agitated movement but his alter-ego Crazy Hand has a plan. He goes up to the control booth and offers the Diotoir boys some gum. They look at each other, and they take the gum from Crazy Hand, calling him a good sport. With the snap of a finger, Master Hand summons a hammer from the sky and it falls onto the arena with a loud BANG. The guys heads snap back to the arena at once, just in time to see one of the Wireframes pick up the hammer and advance on Diotoir...
    SMASH!
Needless to say, thats the end of Diotoir for now.

Ming Higurashi vs. The Witch-King of Angmar

    No house fighters.

From the sands of time, the undead prescence of the wraith known as the Witch-King is come and felt by many, even hundreds of miles away. Wielding his Morgul-knife and his mace, and with a horror dreaded by the Wise called the Black Breath, he leads his great army of Orcs and Uruk-Hai and countless other evil beings towards a little mound, upon which a lone figure stands stock still. Her sharp eyes glance at her quarry leading his malicious fleet towards her. Her long hair swishes around her as she turns to face the Witch-King, her hands feeling the handles of her magical katanas. The Witch-King suddenly halts, several metres away; however the army continues its advance. Ming realizes that they are going to surround her; she smirks. Suddenly there is a loud roar; Ming looks up, and sees a gigantic creature desecending towards her, head outstreched to clench down upon her body and break it with its immensely powerful jaws. She dashes aside as the fell beast blasts by, but she has little room to do so because the Orkish army has now completely boxed her in. She will to have to fight her way out, but it looks grim. The Witch-King lets out a bone-chilling screech, and immediately, as if it were a signal, the Orcs, Uruk-Hai and other evil creatures rush in at Ming. It looks like its the end for Ming...at least, it seemed that way at the moment, but now Ming has broken out of her trance, and with blindingly fast movements is strewing the field with dead Orcs and Uruk-Hai. Her katanas happily smoke with black blood as they claim more and more Orkish victims. Mings energy does not seem to be letting up for a second and the Witch-King is in doubt; he did not know that Ming held such power within her veins. Hardly fifteen minutes later, the army of Orcs, Uruk-Hai, and others is completely scattered and broken, most dead, and most fleeing the surprising might of this seemingly demonic woman. The Witch-King steps forward, drawing his knife. Ming eyes him approaching and leaps up high into the air, landing a foot upon his helm and throwing him onto his back. A steen fan leaves Mings robe at lightspeed and inserts itself into the wraiths midsection. Ming lands on her feet, smiling, and stands over her opponent, apparently gloating over the supposed might of the Nazgul King. Of course, she is sorely mistaken that her opponent is defeated. The Witch-King without warning strikes upwards with his knife and Ming barely dodges it; she springs backwards with a gasp. The steel fan crumbles into dust as the wraith rises deadman-style as if he had suffered no damage. Ming is alarmed but steels herself; she stamps upon the hilt of an Orkish scimitar and slashes it towards the Witch-King; it flies into the helm point-first. The Witch-King however, dismisses all thought of victory by placing an armoured hand upon the hilt of the scimitar and sliding it out. Ming rushes forward, leaping up, and again goes for a flying kick. The Morgul-lord, quick as a snake, turns away and plants his knife into Mings back, only to find shes not there. A pair of feet collide with his back and he is sent flying; however he rises quickly to find Ming flying at him, katanas drawn. The Witch-Kings knife blazes suddenly with green fire and as it impacts both katanas full-force, the katanas are shorn apart and explode into tiny fragments. The force of the blow also pushes Ming back a great distance. Ming is extremely frustrated, not to mention angry; those were katanas passed down from her mother. All thought of blades and weapons gone she rushes the fell king with the thought of forcibly tearing his will apart with her bare hands. The Witch-King lets out a screech as his knife is knocked flying, and he collapses on the ground with Ming atop him. Ming raises a hand, with the nails elongated horribly, and begins a slash downward. The tides have turned completely, and the Witch-King is about to be destroyed...or is he? Ming is suddenly feeling strange...her insides are becoming cold and numb, and she falls backwards off of the Witch-King, who rises up and towers above her like a thundercloud. Ming, although she does not know it, has been hit with the Black Breath, a fell poisonous vapour, and its effects are paralyzing Ming, who falls onto her back, breathing harshly. The Witch-King sweeps up his Morgul-knife and once again flames run down the blade. Ming tries to raise to hand to resist the dark forces above her but it is in vain. The blade stabs downwards, and Ming is caught in mid-cry. The Morgul-knife of the Witch-King has claimed another victim, and it removes itself from Mings stomach as the chief Nazgul bestows one last glance at the corpse of the woman before turning on his heel and leaving the battlefield, his steed flying high above in the dark threatening clouds above.
