    All right, heres the last Round 1 fight!

    Fight 8

    Representing the competitors is 616, an invertible box with a wedge at front and 10mph top speed, with good acceleration. It also has good armour, but it is not the most thought-out robot here and I have a feeling that it will not do so well.

    TGRR1 - Did not compete; his brother SCYHO helped ArchAngel of the Abyss win the tournament.

    Representing the competitors is the mightiest of the house robots here, Ancalagon the Black. Hes got two vertical flywheels and a very nasty crushing jaw that spouts both flames and fire extinguisher. It can also close down and crush opponents. =P It weighs 800kg, so its very powerful indeed.

    TGRR1 - Destroyed by ArchAngel of the Abyss in Round 2.

    ACTIVATE!

    616 races out and immediately meets the closed jaws of Ancalagon, who opens them slowly and spouts flames. 616 gets away and gets around to the side of Ancalagon. Ancalagon turns and slices 616 with the left flywheel. 616 is jousted into the air and lands inverted, definitely not as effective now. Another spout of flames and Ancalagon now has the jaws fully open. Dave Sheppard appears apprehensive, but his robot is much more so as the heaviest house robot advances. 616 tries a different tack and turns around, ramming Ancalagons left flywheel with the backside. Err...not a good idea.
    CRASH!!!
    That...was insanely quick. 616 lay in tatters on the arena floor, its top and back armour ripped right off, and mechanics exposed. Not a doubt that he is immobile. Ancalagon, completely evil, starts destroying 616s internals, and now motors and batteries and wheels and wiring...ugh, Watcher, just end it, please...The Watcher counts the remains of 616 out.

    616 irrepairably destroyed. Nuff said.

    Martijn fights the other female bot.

    The ARC competitor takes on a Shunt/Splinter cross.

    A catapult tries to lift more weight than a Smart car.

    And the champ battles the rammer, who wants revenge.

    Tic-tacs? Pre-diddly-ictions?

    Hes much ligther, which means he should be easier to flip...but on the other hand, hes not a huge pork chop like Exagoric was, so hes faster. Damn.

    Lift it from the sides, try to pit it ASAP, maybe take it to a few hazards, dont let hima ttack me, blah blah blah....

    Taki-san damaged Leprosy Infection all around and then flung him over her and into the pit.


    Another grudge match! Can Taki avenge herself AND Tira? Or will Flick advance past both chicks?

    ACTIVATE!!

    The heat is on! And WOAH! Both bots crash headlong () into each other in the middle of the arena! And the spikes prevail, lifting Taki up off the floor. But before Flick can slam his enemy into a pulp against the wall, Taki rolls off the side of Flick and nicks the wall in the process. Now she has the wedge under Flick, and WAH! The same thing happens! Flick rolls away! Now weve got some serious scurrying around from both opponents, and Taki does an about face and tries to rear charge with the cutting blade. Flick avoids the hit and slides under Takis side, but is too quick and he shoots past her and almost rams the wall. Taki buries the blade into Flicks side! Sparks! Joy! Anyway, Flick darts towards the edge of the wall and turns around with the spikes. Taki barrels into him and now weve got a huge sparkfest now courtesy of that cutting blade! Flick is rather annoyed by this and now hes trying to lift up the rear of the house bot! Oh this cant end well...SMASH! Takis blade hits the front of Flick and sends him spinning away! Taki gets her blade spinning again and advances on Flick. Flick backs away very much, and now hes lining up, and now hes charging straight at Taki!
    WHAM!
    Ooh, that hadda hurt. What a hit. Ouch. Taki just went flying straight across the arena! Flick goes over to Taki and suddenly Taki snaps back to life and pushes Flicks heavily beaten front end. Flick rears and pushes Taki back. Weve got a pushing match, and OUCH! Taki just smashed Flick with the blade again! And one of the spikes just got taken off! Uh oh, I sense death stench...Flick pushes Taki into the wall. Taki responds by shoving Flick back, and now its really hard for Taki to turn around when shes stuck against the wall. Taki continues to fight Flicks pushing power, and finally Flick is forced backward. Flick releases Taki, who rears Flick into the wall opposite. Flick getting under Taki shoves her back into the other wall. Taki rolls to the left and gets the blade working again, but uses the wedge instead to get under Flick. Again, we get a repeat as Flick rolls off as well. How boring. Wait! Taki gets the blade back into the game again! Hooray! Flick again darts away but not quick enough as Taki hits Flick with the blade again! Ooh! Exposed front end! Flick pushes Taki away and into the wall again. Taki has had enough wall and turns around, getting the wedge under Flick and lifting. This time, Flick does not roll off but stays stuck on the wedge. Taki lines herself up with the angle grinder and rams it from afar.
    WHAM! SMASH!
    Ouch! That hadda hurt even more. Flick collided with the angle grinder at full speed, and it sent him flying away towards the pit! Not only that, there is a huge gash in his left side! Taki however has taken damage as well, as she is now moving very slowly. Flick notices this and charges again but Taki slowly turns and again the cutting blade hits Flick, and holy flying shenanigans, Batman! Theyre stuck together! And you know what? Flicks immobilized! And Taki slowly drags Flick around to the flame pit, and The Watcher comes forward, using the lifting arm to lift Flick up, but Taki is dragged into the air as well, showing that the bots are really stuck together. What a predicament! The Watcher shoves both of them into the arena wall, and that seperates the two. Oh my! Flicks mobile again! The Watcher backs off as Taki gets the blade into play again. Flick rams Taki from the side again and the blade does damage once more, shearing the other spike off. And times winding down once more as Flick backs away for another ram. Taki turns to show Flick the wedge, and Flick, not realizing, flies right at her. The result of this is that Flick flies over her, with no spikes to defeat the wedge, and crashes into the arena wall! Taki rears into Flick and slices the back panel, tearing it. Flick pushes her away is roams about the arena, looking very beat-to-crap. Taki comes at him slowly with the wedge and Flick maneouvers around, trying to find her sides.

    10...9...8...7...

    Taki keeps the wedge pointed at Flick to fend off any side assault, but Flick reverses into the pit release button.

    6...5...4...

    Taki turns around and comes at Flick with the blade. Flick turns and races away again.

    3...2...1...

    Flick turns and goes for the gusto, crashing directly into Takis blade yet again.
    WHAM!
    And thats the death blow. Parts fly, and Flick is really immobile now. However, thats the end of the fight.

    CEASE!

    Judges!

    Flick of the Wrist - Taki-san

    Damage = (1-4)
    Control = (2-3)
    Style = (3-2)
    Strategy = (1-4)

    Total = 10-15


    Flick of the Wrist is flicked away.

    Shovearound 2 disposed of Exa-Gore-Ic in a judges decision despite being KOd.

    Double Whamlet blazed by Love Bite v2.0 after grappling him and shunting him down the hole.


    Both can lift, both can shunt, both can shove. Who will prove to be the mightier?

    ACTIVATE!!

    Its Shovearound 2 that shoves himself into the big Whamlet and gets under the house robot immediately. Uh oh. Not good this early in the battle. Shovearound shoves Whamlet into the wall. Oof. Whamlet flails around with the axes, but they are doing him no good and now Shovearound has a clear idea of what to do with this guy! He slides underneath him even more, but that was a bad idea as Whamlet runs over the top and escapes! Shovearound seems cheesed off and really doesnt want to play cat and mouse, and so he goes and hits the pit release anyway - WHOA! Oh my stars, can you believe this! Whamlet charged the pit and as it lowered the bottom-left wheel caught the edge, sending Whamlet flying! The front scoop bounces off Shovearounds rear and Whamlet lands sideways on the arena wall! Because of the side axes, Whamlet rights himself eventually, but Shovearound has got Whamlet again, and at the rear, now living up to his name and shoving Whamlet around the arena, finally into the wall near the floor flipper. Whamlet lands inverted and rights himself with the axes, but Shovearound is just way too persistent, once again sliding the forks underneath and - AH! Shovearound has found the wheel slots! The outmost of the spikes finds one of the wheel slots and slides into it, and this doesnt look good at all for the house robot! Whamlet flails around again with the axes, but nothing doing - Shovearound has Whamlet in the worst position possible, and now Shovearound is going to finish his job and delivers Whamlet to the pit. Wait, something appears to be wrong with Shovearounds plan. Hes lowering the forks, but Whamlet is still stuck on them, and now Whamlet is dangling in mid-air in the pit, but has not touched the bottom. The smoke pours out of the pit, but the match is not yet over! Shovearound drives forward, knowing better to do, and this completes Tonys plan, as Whamlet, still stuck, hits the pit bottom, and Shovearound is stuck on the edge, propped up in mid-air. How amusing.

    CEASE!

    Double Whamlet gets a double whammy right where it hurts the most!
    SHOVEAROUND 2 ADVANCES TO ROUND 3!!

    Wheely Big Cheese 2 took out Obelix Bulguous in less than 15 seconds.

    Ancalagon the Black destroyed 616 in a matter of seconds.

    WBC2 is out and about, and Ancalagon is going straight out, hungry for some titanium cheese! There is a slight smirk on James face...whatever can that be about? Anyway, heres Ancalagon coming in for an attack and WBC2 slides away quickly, and hes got the flipper under Ancalagon! FLIP! ...no! Ancalagon is briefly tipped up and falls back onto...WBC2! FLIP! And thats the end of that. Ancalagon is belly up and weapons still working. The jaws open and close hopelessly and WBC2 returns to his spot. The Watcher is albeit puzzled and gives Ancalagon a nudge, achieving a burst of flame from the jaws. The Watcher starts counting out Ancalagon whiles WBC2 stares at them without a movement.
