I am waiting on replies from Marco and Geoff, amongst others, on non related emails sent out last week, so I may have a problem with my email again. Cofirmation of receipt is geatly appreciated, and if Marco/Geoff or anyone waiting on emails could confirm if you have/have not recieved mail from me in the last 7 days?

This is planned as a grade 3 event (subject to official grading) so

feather of otherwise... sorry guys, but for a first event, it is the only sensible option.

(if you wish to have spinner battles/testing, it is ok to do this during a roboteer only session by prior arrangement, please let me know in advance via email, and if 5 or more spinners agree to a spinner only fight, Ill put a prize on. This would be a private session without any uneccessary people present, and outside of the main event.)

Rules specific to this event reminder.....

Teathers, it is a net roof, so if you should have them... make sure you have them.

Bottle heating, is not allowed, either by electric heaters or warm water. If you wish to cuddle your bottles I may allow it, but otherwise lets keep those bottles at room temp or below please.

Lithium batteries, with the exception of the 2 heavyweights currently running trials on this technology, no robot is to enter the event hall with lithium based batteries. This includes feathers and raptors. If this means you cannot make the weight with nicad or nimh replacements, you are welcome to move up a class in weight.

Accomodation, travelodge.co.uk and premierinn.co.uk have places in wrexham and chester, both within 12 miles of the event. Holiday in has 2 hotels in chester which are quite close, and http://www.stayinwales.co.ukwww.stayinwales.co.uk has a good list of B&Bs in mold and wrexham.
I have also noticed a very good rate at the wynstay arms hotel in wrexham, which may be worth a try on 01978 291010

Prizes are still to be confirmed, but we have at least £250 in the pot, plus trophies. Catagories will be announced on the day.

Saturday will be mostly warm-ups and whiteboards, with the main competition taking place on the Sunday, and maybe last show Saturday, depending on numbers.
