Thread: Motors for a featherwight battlebot

More volts is better in your case, but it is still possible. How much weight do you have left? Belt drive is better for the disk motors.

im still disining the robot on paper (its my first one im desining by myself) i have not calculated the weigh jet, but im gonna do it soon...

and from the gold motors to my weels also beld or is it better to juse chain then?

  4. I would stay away from chain drive. Specially in a feather, since chain is heavier then belt, and the motors tend to get less of a beating.

Now I know there are several robots out there with chain drive and perform very well and yadayadayada, but it is still better to have belt drive.
