I assume that it wont lift much as the PC bends too much. If this is the case replace the PC with ally or reinforce it with a ally cross behind it to support it.
i hav just put more support on a strong thick bit of metal havent tested yet
thanks
another point, the back of my bot is flat and if i get flipped i can self right but end up on my back. could i put semi circles on the back to help it roll over when self-righting? and what should i make them out of?
Yeah circles always help, long as u place them in the right place. have a play around, use wood or cardboard maybe to play about with shapes and sizes and where to put hen, then make them out of anything really. Polycarb/Nylon/Poly pro seem to be the main ones people use.
Mr Stu
some form of plastiv is usually the best to go for.
They can take alot of impact (especially against spinners) and plastic will most likley return to its origional shape (or atleast fairly close to it)
would i just need one on each side, and what sort of thickness?
thanks
what about some small wheels, placed on the edges of your bot, would that be easier?
billy
do you have a picture of your bot?
If so, it will be a little easier to see where the best place they would need to go is. Usualy, dependant on design if its fairly wide then you would probably need 2, if its only narrow then just the one may do, or even a spike just to stop it from balancing on the back.
