Just nosing on the RR site and found a whole load more dates.. well done Jonno
Not only have you announced an event with more lead time than Mentorn ever managed, for every event they ran all put together....
but youve given us something to build for.
I tried a year working hard with little or no robotting, and I really really miss it.
    Count me in,
    rebuild underway

    Hey...

How rude putting this on the forum before i get chance to

Yes I am planning on putting on the first Full on UK Championship Outside of Robot Wars. I think it has got to the stage, where Ive seen teams loosing the motivation... and it is crunch time, we either revive the sport or take up tidily winks at the weekends.

It will be over the late August Bank Holiday, probably over the 3 days.

However as you can imagine I have a lot, and I mean a lot of work to do before then, and am already working on it.

    Required Arena Upgrades
    Correct Venue Decision
Maybe a little bit of a format change... outright fighting becomes boring after a while, maybe its time to test your driving skills and tactics a little more.
A good educational link including UKRG, and my own edu projects somehow

Anyway.... As it develops information will be posted. Including an official launch that the event is taking place.
I hope to have most bits of the puzzle in place by the new year.

As I am back on again (forgot my original username and password), thought Id point something out. Acording to info on another site, 2006 is the 10th aneversary(spelling) of Robot Wars being on the BBC.

Now if Robotwars was still on the BBC for the last 3 years that site would be right. But unfortunatly thats not the case.

After the past few events, Winter Tour and Ireland event and so on, just been wondering - who is up for the UK Championship full on competition?

    Mr Stu

  9. We are. By the time of the event we will have ironed out all the problems plaguing Turbulence and have a decent robot. Well take on anything if it€™s a competition worth winning.

Would there be separate arenas for the featherweights any heavyweights? It would speed up show time and would allow for a bigger show. May I suggest the XFM arena as the best feather arena in the UK atm?
