well, you design 2 great machines (well, tecnically 1 machine) and decide to correct a minor flaw. it wheelied. so they put little wheels on the back to stop it, and it messed up the self righting.
shame really

Typical really. Try to get rid of a minor flaw, and it ends up producing a major flaw (and it happened twice with both machines, so it is major).
Come to think of it, one of the twins flipper looked rather...not well in that mayhem qualifier. It didnt appear to want to go all the way down, which is why trying to flip the twin back over was probably a massive mistake. Nudging it back over may have worked much better.
Wheelie-ing isnt really a minor flaw. Say for example a twin was trying to get under WBC, but wheelied and ended up on top of WBC because of this...
we would have a cluster bot in the roof
Lets see...if about 100 kilos or so of Axe Awe flys halfway across the arena and out and at such a height...divide by two...yeah, I see the problem. But still wheelie-ing isnt as major a problem as getting stuck in a position you cant self-right in is.
As I recall, a rule change for RW series 7 rendered their pneumatic system illegal, which is why it didnt compete in that series. Whether its around on the live event scene I dont know.
Wait, their weapnos illegal? What exactly is the violation???
Not 100% sure on this but I think the change was to outlaw sodasteam bottles as a power source for pneumatics thereby rendering Geminis system illegal
That is correct. But I believe it was already at series 6, not 7.
Dont Team Mace have a new robot now?
They are not on the live circuit and I havnt heard that theyre active.
