If for some reason you are using servos it is important to note that when you first power the receiver they will not move to a failsafe position until the receiver has found the transmitter (this is the same as any other receiver). Servos could be in any position to start and this could potentially fire a weapon or cause the robot to move.
Either ditch the servos or fit an additional failsafe.
