Got it Thank You!

Right,
Ive finally got round to putting the transmitter on charge.
Being from the US, the supplied power adapter is 120v input US type plug... To make things difficult, the barrel plug is centre pin negative. You can use a futaba power supply providing you do the following:
1. Open Tx casing (six screws)
2. Locate charging socket
3. desolder 2 wires from charging socket
4. resolder 2 wires to charging socket in reverse
And now its charging...
Bloody hell Kane!... Thats a very complex solution to a very simple problem!
Simple version.. cut the TX charge lead and install a small reversable 2 pin plug / socket set.
Should have something to report on the performance of this kit after the weekend.

Everyone has a futaba charger... and it is common practice to use centre pin positive... So as the Spektrum charger is useless in the UK it makes sense to modify the transmitter so it accepts the same charger as every other transmitter we use (And everyone else). It also means that it cant be damaged by plugging in a futaba charger or any other that uses centre pin positive.
The charging socket is seperate and on fly leads so is very simple to modify.
OK, Good point Kane..It just seemed drastic to take a brand new TX to bits!
not at all geoff! When ever a new part arrives, first thing is first, take it to bits and see if you can make it better![]()
