25th June, Cobham Primary School Fete, Nr Gravesend

Hope you dont mind me putting this here but a primary school near me would like a few robots to come along as an added attraction to their school fete. It should be towards the end of July and the school is in Kent. E-mail me for anymore info or if you want to come along.

Would possibly have a featherweight and the new and old Major Tom to bring From Isle of Sheppey.

For anyone else who is interested the school is Cobham Primary School (near Gravesend) and the fete is on sunday 25th June from 12:00 until 3:30.

Glad to see that the school is interested in displaying robots, It would be useful to know what arrangements the school will be making for the display of these robots.
If they want them for static display only then there is no problem.
However, if they want to run any of them then it would be in the schools interests to contact us on info@fightingrobots.co.uk for advice regarding a suitable arena, as there would certainly be issues with regard to health & safety and public liability that the school would be required to address to satisfy their legal obligations.
Just something you should to be aware of.

The school has had robots for quite a few years at their fete- usually myself, Garath and Mike, (ToeCutter, Wolverine, Dantomkia) plus a couple of others each year (Killertron, Scary Gadget etc). We havent heard from them for a couple of years, and I do not know if its the same people running the school fete as it was a couple of years ago. If it is the same folk, they should know what to expect from a size and weight point of view.

We ran robots a couple of times (in the style of the good old days- remember Wilsons Day?) Last visit was 2003 I think, just before the event at Chatham Girls Grammar School. We took over the cake stall marque!
