Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, prepare for Heat A of the CRASH & BURN TOURNAMENT!

Our first two robots are...

AXEON, with its front 8mm hardox-armoured wedge, and hugely powerful rack-and-pinion powered axe that can punch holes in titanium! It also has a fan/vacuum set-up to prevent it from jumping around. But is it too powerful for its own good?

and JIM STRUTS from Series 2. Not much to say here; a box on struts, obviously, with a big face painted on the front. It has poor speed, and it doesnt seem like it can put up much of a fight...

Roboteers, stand by...

And so begineth the C&BT! And Axeon is off to a good start, slamming into the walker and slamming its axe into the mocking face. And the face doesnt look too good now, with a gaping hole right where the nose should be! Axeon pulls loose, nearing wrenching Jim Struts onto its own face, and goes for another attack. But Mr. Struts has tried to turn sideways, and so Axeon collides with one of the legs. The axe falls again! This time, the axe blow glances a little off of the face, gauging a long scratch on the material. Axeon, seeing his opponents doom near at hand, pulls the axe loose and mercilessly begins to hammer the walker into submission. By now, Jim Struts face has now been replaced by several large holes courtesy of Axeon, and I must say, they make a giant improvement! Jim Struts tries to get away, but Axeon has no thought of letting this one go to the judges and drives further into Jim Struts. The wedge comes underneath the stompbot and suddenly Jim Struts finds himself pulling a wheelie! Not really, as he has no wheels, but...anyway, Axeon pushes forward even more to try and tip the walker over, but Jim Struts is not going to let that happen as he tips over top of Axeon and stomps away. Axeon, livid as hell, turn
